News? Bernie ...what's up your sleeve man?

Oh just a little bit of news concerning my bass being completed. Soon... :D

Still diggin' the LM-5 in a big way. I'm looking forward to seeing the first 'California batch' come out!

I'm looking forward to the first 'transition perdiod' batch to come out!! It's so close I can almost taste it. Or should I say smell it? That Nitro is funny stuff! ;)

Yeah, Jimmy says mine will be done soon as well. He sounds busy, something like 60ish basses coming up soon.

He mentioned your bass to me while I was talking with him. Can't wait to see it! KBP5 correct?

Cool! Lot's of my TB buddies joinging the Alleva club. I really look forward to seeing all of these. I still absolutely, completely love mine (tone, looks, weight, playability, stability, etc., etc.).:bassist:

I'm really excited. I have some vacation time around the time it may arrive so hopefully it happens! :)

That's not fair! :spit: ;)

Any rough specs you have in mind?

i went out there last friday and played an lm 5 he had on layaway and ethan farmers marcus lm5. im looking for a 5 string version of my 78 jazz. heavy northern ash and all. the white marcus 5 came the closest but it still didnt nail it. the layaway bass sounded like my old hotwire when it had aeros in it. it was lighter like my hotwire so it had a little more air in the tone than im looking for.

the playability and feel of them is perfect, now it just depends on whether or not he can get wood heavy enough from his supplier. so spec wise, i want a 5 string version of this, but not just in terms of looks, but tone also.

I wonder if the California Alleva's will come with a complimentary In-N-Out Burger and fries? Could be the dawn of a new era I tell ya! :hiding:

Please do not refer to Ethan Farmers white bass as a Marcus bass. It is simply a LM5 Custom that I cut a special pickguard for in tribute to one of my favorite bass players. Marcus is already affiliated with Fender and I have been politely asked by his people not to confuse the issue.

Sorry, I love these in-n-out's so much I don't think there's enough for everybody... there's only enough for me :D ... especially since there is no brick oven Pizza out here.

After living in Brooklyn for several years I still find myself going through NYC pizza withdrawal every once in a while. On the other hand - I can't believe the garbage they were passing off as mexican food last time I was there. My niece is a manager at the Manhattan Trader Joe's - her parents still have to send a care package once in a while!
