Congrats in advance on your daughter![]()
Oh, I know, Ken. I'm just stating my reasoning.
And, thanks for the 'congrats.'

Well, it sorta' still does me tho... I forgot to add another twist. A while back I tried "something different" from another brand of bass which I'm also a big fan boy of. That didn't last long at all. Just didn't do anything for me. I was starting to think I had no tolerance for "variety", which was actually kinda' disappointing.Again, given your recent FBass experience (which I think was identical to your Alleva experience where you chose a more 60's inspired instrument), and also looking at the basses in your stable that you really dig, this doesn't really surprise me any more.
Here's mine.

Black guard or keep the White? I was thinking of changing it.
Opinions?

Then, I played the LG. Normally, I'm pretty "luke warm" to a more vintage tone, generally favoring the more modern, more aggressive tones, but there's just something about that LG that really did it for me a lot more than the LM did
I can get with the whole heavier LMs sounding better coment too........I prefer heavy ash bodies too....... My old teach Walter has a nice LM with a badass that is, well, badass but still he covets his 12 pound '78 jazz the most.....
Actually, he says that he plays both of them a lot. He told me today that the 78 jazz has that SOUND but that his LM5 gets very close to that sound, too, while having that "nu skool" feel.
Wow, that bass gets my juices flowing! Love the shoes there too!All done and shipping out today for a Friday delivery...
