Had some time to clean up my LG5 yesterday, change the strings. oil the fretboard, clean off the beer stains, and I decided to pull off the back cover for a pic. I'd pulled taken it off for a look at the preamp when I bought the bass but didn't take a photo.

All these photoshops have me gassing for a surf green LM5 with pearl blocks and binding to complete the trifecta. All I can think of is Pete Townsend's quote with respect to Remy Martin Cognac. "Thank god the stuff is so expensive."

Haha point well made. Guinness for blood is certainly hard on the speaking, and more applicable for TB, the typing.

Jimmy told me he was from Everett, which is hilarious because I grew up on the Everett line in Malden. I then spent most of my time, as I do now, in South Boston/Dorchester.

I sent him an email, and hopefully I'll hear back.

A chucklehead from southie?,,,,

I grew up in the south end but I was bussed into southie for school. I was the only white, Welch/Irish being brought into the Irish neighborhood. That lasted until junior high where I lived in Brighton and went to a Brookline school. Then CM for high school.

Castle Island is one of my favorite places in the whole world. Going there is food for the soul for me.Learned to ride a bike there, skateboard, caught my first fish, had my first kiss...

I used to go there in the middle of a summer nights with bicycle friends and lift the bike onto the the elevated oval out on the middle of the walk around and ride them up there.

SO...what do you guys think? I am very happy with my decision after seeing the mock up. Although I hope it's a little more blonde, less butterscotch and a little more washed out vs. shiny...

Jimmy Strings painter is very good and I'm sure it will look great
