If I were a "P" guy I would never have sold that bass, but it didn't suit my playing style, and I'm not one to keep an instrument hostage (even a beatiful one) if I'm not going to play it. Reluctantly I let it go, and was on the verge of sending money to buy it back (in fact had the deal worked out) before you got it. Again, I thought twice and realized that I was going to have an instrument sitting around. In my mind, not fair if someone else is going to play it. So I passed, and you're playing it regularly, and that makes me happy. Goofy, but true.

Besides, now I have more cash available for when Andrew sells me his white LG4.

I'm not a P bass guy either but this bass forced itself on me. As I said earlier it was somewhat of a novelty for me as well. Then on Thanksgiving eve a friend sat in at one of my gigs in a big club and I heard the bass out in the room mixed with the band and it changed my thoughts on it forever....I actually went back on stage with some nerves knowing how clear and pronounced it was for everyone to enjoy!

As luck would have it - I just ordered a bent plate bridge for my LG5 fretless. I'd be happy to report back if anyone is interested...

That's interesting to hear, I spoke with Jimmy Yesterday about possibly ordering one, and he said he just had another order... You must be the one!

My first bass; the one my Dad bought me many years ago. A Fender LPB MIM P wit a tort guard. So yeah, pretty minimal these days! Need to get another 5 string though.

this is the problem of forums.... People are probably afraid to buy it after you detailed it's flaws in AC part 8

You're probably right, but they also know how Jimmy took care of everything as well. Anyway, it's a chance to save about a grand, and a long wait on a brand new bass.
