I believe its on Jimmys website. I remember Kirk telling me Bob bought it as I was interested in it when Jimmy first showed it at the 06 namm. Kirk may be around to answer if im right or not. Its called Transparent Green and its on Jimmys color page.

OK guys, call me crazy but the other night I swear the bassist for the Max Wienberg Seven was playing an AC with a red headstock on Conan.
The headstock looked a lot like an AC, but I couldn't be 100% sure. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I did play Paul Turners bass and his is dalbergia negra... it was warm and punchy.. but i did not AB it to another bass.. I know the African rosewood and the others sound and feel real nice too...
So I am getting a dalbegia negra board on the soon to come kbp5... I think my bass may wind up going to NAMM first. then i can get it..
The dalbergia that he has is dark and oily .. if you sand it it has a real nice smell to it...

A lack of Dalbergia Negra doesn't bother me much...since that stuff is WAY outta my price range! I have decent basses that cost less than one of those fretboards!
A big gratz to anyone who managed to score one of those! I bet those basses seriously thump. Jimmy had told me that the Brazilian imparted a slightly darker/mellower presence to the bass, a la James Jamerson era. And that the Indian was a little more "burpy" in the mids, as was the Honduran.
Has anyone played them all on an AC and care to comment? Kirk?

I have a pic somewhere.. I only have a body shot though... It was at NAMM in 2006.. that was the lightest in weight bass that i have ever felt..
It was ridiculously light.
I think it is on the alleva sight under the color chart.. it is a clear green.. Bassist 30 drooled over that one

i think he is playing a Mike Lull bass.. I could be wrong though.. Maybe Jimmy will chime in here..
SVT just stated in his post all and more I know about it. But he was right I drooled over it when I saw a pick of it. Very beautiful as you can see. It went fast and rightfully so. Went to a great bassist so it found a nice home.

Yes sir.. and that is Bobs bass in that color photo.. Did i say how light that thing was...it was feather weight... I know you liked that color to bassist30.. i dont have the pics in my machine any longer they are on CD... i only have what is on the alleva site... I am in the process of moving this week and i know i have that CD with all the phots backed up but i have no idea where that is today...
No what i think is, it does not have the passive tone control.
although I like the passive tone control and it does add something extra to it, but without it you can get the metal plate that runs from the pickguard through the volume and tone controls. You see it standard in fenders but with the extra knob, Jimmy will have to get them specially made which im sure it will happen sometime down the road. Therefore you will notice the one's with the passive control do not have that metal plate.

i see some of the ones without the passise knob without the plate but none of the ones with the passive knobs. if my memory serves me correctly Jimmy could not put one on mine because of the passive tones knob which makes it 5 knobs instead of 4.

If anyone has a fiver they are considering selling, please shoot me a PM. Based on reputation and reviews from fellow bassists, I'm really interested in spending some time with one, but I would rather test out a used one before I go full-bore and order one new. Somebody hook a brutha up!

I hear Low End is supposed to be getting one in maybe this week......might be a lefty, though...... couldn't tell you were to look other than that.......sorry man......never ever heard of anyone selling one after they've played and heard it........ I can assure you though, if you did ever play one and didn't want to keep it,sell it here and it wouldn't last long at all..

Take the plung.
A flight will not cost you much, and you can try one. You have alot of sounds clips on Jimmy's site and they pretty much sound like that. I know what Gas feels like.
Also, if you're going to bass player live, Jimmy will be there with at least 5 or 6 basses.....perfect place to try them all out and have a blast doing it..........+1 on the soundclips from the website.....
