Hey it looks like the 11th hour pic may be of my bass!!

Great stuff! Looks like a blast....

Peace,

T

I k now alot of basses at the show were sold already.. but he should be getting the rest back when the NAMM truck comes next week.. Man i cant wait either.. my Black KBP5 is on that truck coming back.. he will ship it to me later... i have a session in 2 weeks that it will just kill on... but there is a sunburst KBP5 that was at the show.. it had flats on it and it was the killer bass of the show in my opinion..
vail johnson was pooping over it... that kbp5 and the sonic blue standard jazz were simply my favorites.. salmony colored LG5 with the new vintage bridge was another smoking bass.. just killer

I keep telling you to try one.....you are not that far from the shop! I would be there tomorrow if I were you!!

Peace,

T

it might be.. if i remember he did the bevel cut on that PG.. i said i liked it that way..
jimmy really didnt.. some folks here dont either... but it is a nice bass.. and it has a real nice dalbergia negra board too... whhheeeooo..it was part of a set of nitro finish /dalbergia negra / sunbursts... he has a set which is strat,tele,kbp4,kbp5,lg5,lm5,standard j... 7 in all... just real pretty

I didn't see any In stock on his page?

Personally, It makes me happy that Jimmy's small business is booming and he has had to switch his focus toward manufacturing legitimate, classic sounding instruments. People are taking notice of what he's doing, just look at the magazines, sound clips, and hype! If the fascination was bull$#!&, then it would be obvious by now.

I'm sorry that these basses can't be bought, manhandled, at every Guitar Center....err, wait, No, I'm not.

If you want a "player" that delivers the classic Fender sound, then there is no need to spend 10-20 thousand on something that could possibly a fake. Go ahead and order exactly what you want. You won't regret it.

LOL...it sounds like Jimmy bought me off! But honestly, I paid the man 4Gs.

Were the rest of the set sold? I am interested in a matched pair maybe. The standard J and either the KBP4 or KBP5 or the LG5....What pair would you pick of the ones you played?

Peace,

T

that sonic blue bass is killer.. everyone that played it loved it...it has a mint PG on it and it looks freaking great too... no hype.. i dont hype.. it is really special

I don;t blame you a bit. There is something about that Sonic blue 4 string AC that just screams "Instant Mojo!"

I could only stay until friday so i missed saturday and sunday.. I dont know what sold of that set.
jimmy should be in the shop tomorrow he called me today and said he was leaving LA this morning.. so ask him tomorrow..
The one bass that i played in the set was the KBP5.. it has flats on it.. labellas i think.. that bas was about 9 pounds or so.. maybe a little less.. but it was my favorite..infact everyone that played it was freaked out at how it sounded like the way you expect it to sound... i only heard that in a 63 p that i played, yet this is a 5 string.. its freaky... i liked i even better than my black KBP5.. i think it is the flats.. that P pickup that he wound is freaking unbelievable.. again no hype!!! the fingerboard on it is very nice... the J bass was nice too .. i did not play any other ones from the set so i could not really say,, jimmy could help you though.. he knows what i like and i bust his ass all the time.... the sonic blue J is smoking good too... i didnt play any of the maple neck basses that i remember.. i had almost no sleep that week...
