I just picked up the Trans White LM5 that was at NAMM

Thanks guys, here is a little more info. I already had an
A-C on order. Jimmy actually offered me the Inca Silver
RA5 that was at NAMM a few weeks ago. It was a little
out of my price range though. So I placed an order.
Last weekend I kept eyeballing the white one with the
tort guard. I actually thought it was a LG-5.
I decided to call Jimmy yesterday. When I ask about
the bass he said someone has already called about it.
He said to be fair he should call the other person and
ask if he still wanted it and, that was cool with me.
He did not hear anything as of this afternoon and
offered me the bass.
Specs.
LM-5
Trans White
Northern Ash body (I'm normally an alder guy)
Ploy finish
Indian Rosewood F/B
Passive tone
All this at 9.1lbs.
And I don't have to wait 3 to 6 months.
I'm really looking forward to this bass. Man...2 to 3 weeks...
it's gonna be a long wait.

Well delays really. I've been waiting for the bass to come back from paint. I waited for the Orange 4 to come back from paint to see how it turned out to be on the safe side and it took almost another 2MONTHS to come back, virtually pushing my bass back 2 months. I had no idea that it would take this long to paint, and, frankly, I'm not sure if it's worth the extra time to me. I've been putting off quite a bit of recording to wait for this bass and the delay put a major damper on things. I ordered a Nordy almost an entire month later and got it ON TIME. I know that this is a completely handmade bass, but when I went to NY for BPL in October, I saw my neck and body virtually finished and just waiting to be fretted and painted. It seems like I've been waiting about 3 months more so far just to get it painted because I beleive the fretwork was done some time ago. It's honestly kinda frustrating but I'm not going to be that guy that calls Jimmy every five minutes to ask "is it ready yet?", I refuse but to wait for it to be painted THIS long, I'm just not sure if it's worth that. If there is another delay, I will probably see about getting something else instead.
That sucks, bro. Waiting is never fun.
I hope it works out that you get it soon. They really seem to be special instruments.
I've played a few, and they are very special. To quote Denny Green "they are who we thought they were"

I'm just hoping it gets here soon, bro. The last part of waiting is always the hardest. When you're on the brink and you're just waiting for that tracking info. Not an easy time!
I'd be all set with knowing it's on the way.......It's the not knowing when the damn thing's gonna be finished that's ripping me a "new one"......:scowl:
Yeah, can't blame ya there. Well hopefully now that NAMM has settled down, Jimmy will kick stuff out quicker.
