yea we drop down to D# , weird but it works for the vocal , Im ordering #2 CB in a little over a week , it takes me for ever to decide on wood but I finally got it , hope you all love your new babies !

I know the feeling. I must have changed each bass I have ordered from Cliff at least three times completely!

I sometimes just play around the drop D tunning by bringing a 5 string, but it's just easier this way.

Love the music, but I hate the tunning!

I'm pretty puny and using 35" scale. It still amuses me when huge guys complain about 35" scale.

I tend to keep about 1/2 of my 4 strings in dropped D at all times. Although, I'm not one to change tunings for bands. I tell 'em that they can pick E, D, or B. I might make an exception for a band I really like, but I see no reason to mess with perfection on my end.

That is going to turn out great, Scott! This is your fourth with Cliff, right? After receiving mine, I can see how you would want another one! These basses are like artisanal wooden crack cocaine!

Here are some pretty terrible pictures of my Bordwell. My camera is not the best and the lighting isn't too good. Trust me when I say it's much nicer in person! I'll try to snap some tomorrow in natural lighting.

It plays like a dream. It's so easy to see why most of Cliff's basses are for repeat customers. I wish more people had the opportunity to play his instruments.
