I am thinking about using a solid piece of redwood and bookmatching it for the body, not totally sold out yet. Anyway, I'm sitting on a mountian of this stuff for a while now, below is a link to some pictures and the story on how I ran across the stuff.

I would love to hear what that sounds like. I love the redwood top. I have no idea what it would sound like as the body wood. I'll be following this with interest!

I am very jealous of your slab stockpile.

Some shots of the new batch.

Should be an interesting batch, although I haven't been disappointed by any batches yet. I still think it's funny when all basses in the batch have something in common like all Nordstrands or all are Ball shaped.

Yes, I love it when I get to see another Rami shape made..... I am really wanting to try one out. It should be fun watching these!

It's really funny, tonight i was looking at Cliff's website and this thread and Jeez! the rami is a sweet looking bass....

I normally prefer basses with a smaller footprint, i think by using smaller horn, the Rami may suits me better, i will ask Cliff if he ever done a 4 string Rami before...Will i have the first Rami 4 build for me?

Any one of you knows if there have been a Rami 4 before?

To all the Rami owners here, how do you like the shape and feel of your Rami?

Thanks

I'm looking forward to seeing the 4 string Big McNeely, Scott.

What made you go for a 4 string this time? If I may ask?

I always play differently on a four string, and I like playing a four string when it is drop "D". As I get older, I have been noticing that I have been moving from a 6 to a 5... now to 4.

This bass was a lot of fun coming up with all the ideas with Cliff, so I can't wait to see it finished. I'm excited to see if Cliff will post some new pics today.
