Scott that 7 string fretless is just beautiful! It really does it for me.... Can't say I would be able to play it but definitely nice on the ol eyes 
For the owners of the 7-string CB basses that are floating around out there (I've skimmed this post and only seen one) - can someone post an "action pic" or maybe just a pic of a person holding it? I'm trying to get a feel for the sheer size of one of his 7-string basses. Also what's his default spacing on the 7's?
Also, anyone care to comment on the neck profile, especially on the wide 6'ers and 7's? Chucky, thin, C, flat D.. how would you describe the shape? I'm going to be putting in my order this summer, and these are the things I'm most worried about.

I can't speak to anything regarding 7-string, but as far as neck profiles go...email Cliff. He and I had numerous conversations regarding the neck profiles. I even went so far as to measure my fingers, overall hand-length, and gave examples of basses that I own (or have owned) and waht I liked/disliked about their profiles. Cliff will work with you, and give you sound advice. In the end...no one will know his basses better than him.
I don't know that Cliff has built enough 7s to have default settings. I went with J spacing at the nut, a "thin" profile on the neck, and 17mm at the bridge. I also went with 32" scale, but that was more to allow me to use a thicker high E to keep it from sounding too thin since it's on a fretless. I wanted to avoid an unwound string at all costs.
That being said, playing a 7 isn't much different from playing a 6. It's more about technique than hand size. I have pretty small hands and enjoy my CB 7 string. When you start dealing with more than 7 strings, yes, hand size starts to play a role. I'd be fine ordering an 8 string, but probably not a 9.
I went with a a "thin" profile on the neck, and with 34" scale instead of my normal 35" scale on mine. I choose the scale to cut down on the buzz on the higher strings for the fretless.
I pretty much agree with spade2you. It is a very comfortable bass to play, and as long as you have good technique you'll have no problems.
I'll try to take a picture wearing mine when I get home so you can get an idea of size.

I'm a five player, but I did play a different builder's 35" six string for about two or three years, about five years ago. I switched to a 5 string because I'm not a soloist and the extra C string was a waist for me.
About a month ago, I had the pleasure of playing Scott's two bottom basses in his picture above. I have very small hands, but the 6 and the 7 stringed basses felt real nice. I didn't feel overwhelmed or out of place; it just felt very manageable. Scott: I don't remember, but isn't one of them 32" and the other a 34"???

I didn't ask for it, but I'm hoping for a little Bordwellian magic back there on mine in the next group. Is this a standard kind of thing Cliff does or is it an option?
On this batch of basses I just told Cliff to use light gauge strings, so I think they are DR. I'll change them out with something else in a few weeks.

My 32" scale uses Curt Mangan strings. For the most part, the B and E string could stand to be 32" scale and the rest are fine at standard.
What do you think about the light gauge strings that came with the bass? Do you like the lower tension? Are you changing the strings to something else to seek another tonality or to change the tension...or something else?
Thanks for the input. It really helps me out to hear from people that play medium scale basses...particularly Cliff's basses.

It's probably very clear to everyone else.
String windings behind the nut. A standard string wouldn't taper before it reached the tuner for the B and E. The A, D, and G tuners are far enough from the nut that they can be standard length. The C (and higher) strings naturally lack a taper.
