My only experience of high end gig bags is with Fusion ones, I have this one for my headless bass >> Urban Electric Guitar
The neck support is held in place with velcro, so it can be moved around to where you need it, same on my Fusion bass bags too.

Gotcha. Good to know. I don't think the one in Mono is removable. I don't have experience, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

I think I might look at getting the Fusion one since I have a Ritter bag with a zipper that makes me curse.

Will do. As I get older, I'm trying to eliminate clutter and the Fusion bag seems to be able to be nice for guitars or headless bass where Mono didn't seem to quite fit that bill. Will still probably get the Mono bass double as well as this new electric guitar+acoustic guitar bag. Gotta give Mono the A for effort and creativity. ;)

I hear ya, as I get older my wife is trying to eliminate my clutter ;)
The Fusion bags are great, I'd put them up there with the Mono ones, maybe not quite as cool (well marketed) though.
If you do get one, I personally prefer the older style F1 bags to the newer Urban ones, but if you're interested I can show you pictures of both, and the neck support is moveable on both designs, I have my 33" and 31.5" headed basses in the same size of bass bag, so being able to move the support is a life saver!

My new-to-me Rami 5. Here are my changes
Nordy DCs with rosewood pickup covers
Nordy 3 band in 9v (kitchen sink with $$)
Brushed aluminum knobs
Brushed aluminum bridge
The original was just too...yellow and I don't have anything positive to say about audere preamps.

They just never did it for me. I had 2 bad experiences with them in the past. The classic 4 band was way too quiet (output wise) for my tastes, and the z mode jazz plate didn't sound good with my Lane Poors. The z modes are a cool concept, but give me my series/paralel/single buckers any day. Preferences are preferences, I guess.

Makes sense. I discovered I'd much rather have a 3 band with a frequency switch than a 4 band. I didn't have any real objections to the sound.

That being said, I'm digging my Nordstrand preamp a lot so far with the P/Big Man combo.

Looks good! What pups did it have? And which Audere pre?
I picked up a 5 string SC second hand and have thought of switching out the Aguilar pre and Nordy duals. Since I live in Florida and my folks aren't too far from Cliff, I would probably have him perform the surgery to preserve the sanctity of the build. Although, I'm pretty OCD when it come to working on my own instruments...

it had nordy big splits and the audere z mode 3 band.

Mike Lull just saved my new-to-me CB rami with an exquisite refret, fingerboard truing, and PLEK job. I didn't expect it to need all that work, but the bass is a real player now. I just couldn't get her set up and intonated with good action, so off to Mr Lull she went. I went with jescar 51108 frets because I like big frets and I cannot lie
