It's a Nordstrand Dual Coil, biased towards the back of the ramp so I can rotate it and get closer to the neck if desired. Series / Parallel switch.

It's here! It's light! Far lighter than my Dola and noticably lighter than my TRB, body is Spanish "Cedar" and fairly thin, @jzucker take note.

Sounds great, switch does Series, Parallel, and Single Coil.

Construction quality is great, very nice to hold and the neck feels awesome. I love the flat fingerboard and it was noticable going from the Dola to this, less so with the nearly flat TRB.

I've gotta give it a day or two and then take a wee bit of bow out of the neck, unless it does so by itself.

Setup wise, the nut is cut surprisingly high, much higher than my Dola, but I'll give lowering that a shot too... It's been a while...

So I've been jamming on it a bit and digging the sound and playability apart from the action and setup needing some tweaking, arrived pretty much perfectly in tune. My custom ramp / cover works great!

So glad to read this. I'm doing an integrated ramp/pup cover on my current build with DCs and the switches. I'm even more excited after reading your experience.

I play 31.5" scale now exclusively on 4, 5 and 6 and I'm never going back

My other CB is 32" and a lot of fun, but I still like the feel and sound of 34" as well. I do however need to put some lower / balanced tension strings on the new one.

I haven't been on here lately, but I wanted to post a pic of my son and I in my Bass Cave. He's more of a stand up bass player now, but he comes and shows me a thing or two on my electric basses once in awhile.

I love all of the new basses Cliff has been making, and I think that the choices everyone has been making have been killer!

that beautiful bass reminds me a little bit of the ball 5 i had him build me a while back, which i continue to play and love. mine is (also?) a treated (roasted, can't recall name) birdseye board, tho in my case the top and headstock veneer are flamed walnut. nice light ash body, thin neck profile, it's a dream to play and the tone is killer.
