By the way, I must tell you all a little secret. This waiting got little easier exactly the same day Cliff told me he has posted my bass (June 19th). My wife gave birth at the same day for our first one. She weighted 3250g and was 50 cm long and they bought are doing fine. So, I believe I got some things to do while I am waiting this bass. :D

Congrats !;)You will indeed be busy for a while. And your new bass looks beautiful too.

I try to get my amp home tomorrow and after that I can tell, how it sounds. The neck is rock solid. The set up wont change when I tune this bass. That is not so normal with some other basses.
This bass feels so comfy and the neck is like it was made to my hands. Just the way I wanted. Well, I told Cliff what I wanted and he told me, which way to go. Great bass and maybe the first one in Finland. I hope I can do business with cliff later but at the moment I am very happy with these two basses. :bassist:

Thanks for all the pictures Antti! That bass has me wanting another one some kind of bad!!!!!!!! I never really got a good look at that body style up until now. Thanks! I love my six string fretless ball bass, and I'm sure you'll love yours.

So, after drooling over the new batch of basses Cliff just built..... I sent him an email to order another bass!
Couldn't help myself after seeing Antti bass.

Here are the ruff specs that I'm thinking about. I haven't even sent them to Cliff yet.

> Bocote top.
> Wenge accent layer right underneath top.
> Spanish Ceader back.
> Wenge fret board bound with canary wood.
> ACTIVE ON BOARD PREAMP (AUDERE)
> One Kent Armstrong pickup with Bocote cover.
> Bocote cover for the back of the headstock.
> Black Hardware.

The new basses are really quite stunning but his one is in a league of it's own!
Nice to see you around emjazz, Looks like you've been working a lot these days, hopefully I can get some time away myself to see you with either Choose to Find or Jennifer Greer. I was in Boston last Thursday and Friday but I had to get back home Friday after work.

Hmm...December sounds about right, for when I might send Cliff a deposit myself :D

I'm making plans for a short-scale (30" or 32"...haven't decided yet) 6-string singlecut parallel chamber bass. With a wood-bridge and piezos. Single magnetic pickup. Spruce or Cedar top maybe. Haven't thought about the woods too much yet. :bassist:

Jeff, it'd be great to see you again for sure....too bad you didn't make it out last week...I played both Thursday and Friday night. Friday was a lot of fun....untill the drunk hecklers showed up at the end of the night.....I don't play bars often but when I do I remember why I don't. :rollno:

A new CB on the horizon heh? Very nice choice.

I'm probably looking next spring. Kinda have a Rob Allen sixer coming relatively soon, a Bianchi time trial bike, a Stambaugh in December, and gonna order a Kubicki (Phil is retiring soon-ish). Otherwise I'd be ordering it really soon. Plus, I decided to go with a 33" scale fretless 7, so specs are in the early stages, but I definitely will next spring.

Sorry for provoking you Scottm :D. It is hard to say anything about your specks. If these specks feels okay in your hands, I believe Cliff can make the best out of it. A talented builder like him can make any kind of specks work? :cool:
Do you think 36" scale is too much for you? I took the risk and I had never played one but now it feels just great and I love that little "fattier" and "larger" sound. It is maybe not so "cutting" but I love it. Of course it could be different with fretted bass. I really don't know and these are just my thoughts. Happy waiting and I must do some lottery to have that Rami-bass. :hiding:

The new CB will be conditioned upon a pretty amazing bonus at the end of the year with the way the economy is going.

Let me know if you have any shows coming up north of the city anytime soon or better yet in southern NH.
