Club Clement: Part 2 (post your basses here)

Hey guys,

I REALLY hate to do this, but it looks like I'm going to have to sell my Clement. I lost my job just as Tom was finishing her up and I'm having a heck of a time finding a new gig. Now it looks like I'm going to be buying a new transmission for my car pretty soon. :(

Mine is #171 and it's on Tom's website. It has never left my house and is MINT. This nicest bass I have ever played. It's beautiful and plays and sounds amazing.
Specs: One-piece Bastogne Walnut body, Mahogany/Wenge neck, Bloodwood fretboard, 30" scale, all Hipshot hardware, EMG 35TW pickup with EMG BTS preamp. Strung with D'Addario Chromes. It's in a new, heavy-duty Roadrunner gigbag.

I figured I'd give you guys a heads-up before I put an ad in the classifieds tomorrow. Please PM me if you're interested.
I have a price in mind, but I'd rather not post it in this thread.

I'm sorry to hear that, as well. Having been in your situation in the not too distant past, I would say hang on to the bass and ride it out.

Here's why. The immediate knee-jerk thing to do is to start hawking items to get cash. However, I found that once you've paid one bill there's still more to pay and your instrument is now gone. AND you're selling a money-maker. I began the push to get more gigs so that I could put my Clement to work and bring in a few $$$. And that's actually what helped stem the tide of not getting freelance and being laid off from my part time design job. Having an instrument that helps pay bills is better in the long run than selling the instrument to pay for a bill now...

Hang in there!

Me, too! ;) Man, this one took a while to get to the finish line, but I'm pretty happy with it. I just gave the printer the FINAL final go ahead late last night. :hyper:

So hows your Clement coming along Tom? Have you got an estimate on how long to wait?

Mr C sent me a pic of him playing the 'original' limba bass from his NYE gig, its such a good looking beast!!

No estimate, yet. I'll be checking in with Tom shortly and finalizing the specs. I've been a bit preoccupied with prepping for NAMM, lately... :hmm:

New years eve with 150. It was good to play her again. This the first 5 I have owned and I am getting used to her. She willbe my #1 player.

Tom not sure why you didn't get my e-mails Last Wednesday I just replied to the same e-mails we started?

Can you try e-mailing me again? Possibly they are being blocked?

More ice hanging from the tangerine trees this morning. :bawl:
