+1 I think that this particular touch is a transformative one. While I normally do like fancy wood knobs, I must say, most of the time the impact is not as dramatic as what we have hear. Very nice touch!

Well, I played the new fretless at practice last night, and as happy as I was already with this bass, after playing it in a mix, I am even more pleased. I still need to work on my fretless chops, but I was really happy with how nice the bass sounded in a rock setting. Using the P pickup only, it nailed AC/DC's Have a Drink on Me. Dialing in both pickups evenly worked great on everything from Sammy Hagar to All-American Rejects. I was even able to get through Rush's The Spirit of Radio, though I must say, that tune is tough to play on fretless! :eek:

And yes, it held its own against that Dingwall. :D

Got 191 in this week. Unfortunately it's going to be a busy real life for the next few weeks, but in the little time that I've gotten to spend with it so far I have to say it's a tremendous instrument!

The neck is thin, smooth, and plays just great. The body is light and perfectly finished (poplar with a redwood top) and it has a very punchy sound.

I felt instantly at home with it and can't wait to really dig in when time permits.

If you're on the fence about ordering something-my build time was like a month or so, he patiently dealt with all of my questions and changes and I don't think you'll beat the quality and twice the price!

Never thought I'd hear THAT combination!!

I just cant picture nice smooth glissandos in the middle of all that bluesy hard rock!

That was kinda my point. Fretless basses don't necessarily need to sound like a fretless 100% of the time. :cool:
