My favorite part is the knob colour and how it matches the centre lightness against the limba, really nice touch. Congrats.
Well, I played the new fretless at practice last night, and as happy as I was already with this bass, after playing it in a mix, I am even more pleased. I still need to work on my fretless chops, but I was really happy with how nice the bass sounded in a rock setting. Using the P pickup only, it nailed AC/DC's Have a Drink on Me. Dialing in both pickups evenly worked great on everything from Sammy Hagar to All-American Rejects. I was even able to get through Rush's The Spirit of Radio, though I must say, that tune is tough to play on fretless!
And yes, it held its own against that Dingwall.

I just cant picture nice smooth glissandos in the middle of all that bluesy hard rock!
That was kinda my point. Fretless basses don't necessarily need to sound like a fretless 100% of the time.![]()
