Hello everyone. In looking for fretless basses, I had discovered Clement bass and reading reviews has led me to this decision. I purchased a Clement bass offering with fretless and fretted necks ( no 061.) I hope I have done the right thing. I liked the 2 neck option witch helped make up my mind. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Fantastic! Congratulations.

Excuse me if know this. But keep in mind switching the necks might take a bit more work to get them to play well (e.g. wood shims to set the proper angles between fingerboard and string, truss rod adjustments).

As a Clement fan, I say get that second body! Have 2!

Yes, I understand. Guess I was thinking along the line of I have never worked with fretless and if it doesn't pan out , all isn't lost and can switch to fretted and still use body and great workmanship. Any of that make sense? Been playin since 69 and wanted to experiment a little. Lol. Have had many fretted basses, but no fretless. Did I choose a good bass is the real question? I think I have ! Thanks

You chose the best, IMO. Outside of Fbass and Pedulla, which are more than double the price, you cant beat Clement in quality and tone.

Checked out #61 in Tom's gallery, She's a beaut. Good decision. My 201 also has a figured maple board - plays terrific. You won't be disappointed.

Yes, bought that one and was listed here. I just found that out. Lol. Anyway, It was listed on bay and bought it there. She look beautiful. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

I got a new camcorder at the beginning of the month, so I have some new videos of #192 in all her Clementy goodness. The video quality is pretty decent - not so sure on the sound, although the bass sounds pretty loud in the mix where it was positioned!

Here she is bringin' da funk on Shakedown Street (well, as much funk as you're allowed to bring on a Dead tune).
