Wow
WOW
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I think that the Phunk body shape has definitely matured into a very very interesting double-cut sibling to the Clement SC creations. I really like how that upper horn is flowing with the lines of the bass. And that top is just wild!!!

Beautiful bass!!!

Muse
Chili Peppers
Foo Fighters
The Cult
Golden Earring (!!!)
Velvet Revolver
Radiohead
Stretch
Jet
Electric 6

Only one obvious 'Cheat' was Johny B Goode,

Managed to steer clear of Mustang Sally - which is always a good thing in my book!! (Good GAWD - I wish I had a £ for everytime I've played / been requested to play that song!)

Good stuff on that list- what tunes are you doing by Foo Fighters, Cult and Golden Earring?
I'm TRYING to convince my bandmates to do Pretender or Monkey Wrench by Foo Fighters and Twilight Zone by Golden Earring. We're already doing Love Removal Machine by the Cult.

In the scratch band we were doing Have It All by the Foos

In my 'normal' band we do The Pretender, Times Like These and Best of You

It was Radar Love by Golden Earring - absolute classic!

And in the scratch band - I wanted to do Love Removal Machine - but we settled for Lil' Devil instead!

And I FINALLY got to play Higher Ground (Chili Version) LIVE!!!!

I've wanted to do that for the last 5 years or so - but its always been shot down by one band member or another.

So after completely neglecting all of my basses for my recently built Clement 7 string. Ive decided to have Tom build me a fretless to go along with it.

7 String
35" scale
Swamp Ash body
Redwood top w/black veneer accent
Black limba/wenge neck
Bloodwood lined board
Bartolini G6 pickups and Bart 4.6 pre-amp

And as you may notice also a black limba/wenge neck.
$ are on their way and I hope to receive her soon. :bassist:
Thanks Tom for everything.

Quiet round here.....

Well, I've bitten the bullet and ordered a GenzBenz Shuttle Max 12. Not the sort of outlay I really wanted - but I can't rely on unreliable gear! So I have a final test session with the Trace next week - so it will either be my backup - or I'll see if I can sell it.

Thanks and good luck on the new projects.

I am sure you will update us on how thrilled you are with that new "C" bass asap.

My project is: I have been buying EMGs 45CS pups and love them on #196. Yesterday ordered a Bart M56c to be passively installed in # 196. She came to me from Tom with Nordy Fatstack pickups which are a very nice pickup. This chain of events will help to solidify electronics for the next years (Lord willing) project bass. I have installed on #122 redwood/mahogany bass a filter based ACG preamp that is very different from "normal" preamps but I am getting to know it and its characteristic functions and sounds and I have to say they are quite marvelous sporting some lovely and usefull sounds not achievable otherwise.
Remember please, reviews on #217!!! :smug:

First post! And what better to kick things off with than to announce that I've just put down the deposit on #226!

Specs are:

Lined 4 string
Swamp ash body
Redwood top
Maple/wenge neck
Bloodwood board
All passive Nord Big singles

It's my birthday gift to myself this year. Last year I grew a beard, I figured I'd go a little bigger this year. :)

Well done that's the way I did it too, only not the beard.

Felicia body style.

Tom was kind enough to build a 4 string in this body shape because he's a great guy and really listens to his customers.

I can't say enough good things about working with him and by looking over these threads, I'm not the only one.
