Excellent condition. I had owned a 5 string Elrick with a 35" scale which was just too long for me. I had this built to replace the Elrick with a similar sound and quality of build but better suited to my hands. I have loved this bass, but I'm 73 now and don't play out much and rarely play this exceptional instrument. BTW I own 2 Clement 4 strings.

Price is $1,750 with case shipped to the lower 48 CONUS. Knock off $100 if you don't need a case.

I was just playing my lovely #112 and as usual was lost in the sound of the thing. But my analytic side thought it would be great if you could confirm what my three controls are (two knobs and one switch).

I was just playing my lovely #112 and as usual was lost in the sound of the thing. But my analytic side thought it would be great if you could confirm what my three controls are (two knobs and one switch).

The knobs are most likely volume and tone controls. The switch is probably for switching the pickup between series and parallel, but it seems to have been added after the bass was originally built because it isn't present in the photos from the gallery: Gallery | Tom Clement Instruments

If you post a pic of the cavity we can probably tell you what the switch does. Another excuse for photos… even if it is a bass backside!

I bought it from a nice fellow in Tucson; a realtor that I bought a Native American flute from. #112 was brought out because he said he also had a bass for sale and I mentioned I played bass. He had several other nice basses he was keeping. I really could not afford it but made it happen because it is my favorite bass.
