Thanks Tom, pretty much what I thought. My old BN-6 (a 28 fret one that I think is somewhere in the Pacific Rim now and would love to have back) is long gone, but it did have the tone I am searching for-- not that my "new one" (now 10+ years old) doesn't have a killer tone, it does for days-- but you know--the eternal search. I am most likely gonna switch back to vol-vol on it. I'll have to ask George to send me a diagram to do this. still wondering if the détente pot will have to be changed out.

Hey there,
sorry if it's been done to death but I've used the search engine and had no results.
I need to replace the tuners on my BN5 (which actually are aftermarket grey Hipshots).
I was wondering if Hipshot Ultralight HB6Y 3/8" would fit or if hole won't match.
Thanks

Not only do I not know the answer, but I don't know of anyone else who has asked the question. Have you tried emailing Marcel directly on this? If shipping parts from Canada to Italy isn't practical I'm sure he would know know whether or not those Hipshot Ultralights would fit.

Hello F bass brothers and sisters. Just incase anyone is interested I have this Fretless beauty up for sale:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/fbass-bnf5-fretless-lower-price-1020891/

Its a 1992 F Bass BNF5 in excellent condition, sounds amazing (As an F would) and plays like a dream. Ebony bridge. 5 Piece neck. Leather Gig bag.

Its been in classifieds for a while now which is very surprising to me, but a sign of the times I guess.

Im going to have to put it on Ebay in the next day or two..at a point where I need to move it, but wanted to let you know. I would much, much rather not have to use ebay and let go to some one here in the forums.

Please PM me if interested. Thanks

Really excited about a project finalized just a few days ago....

Resurrecting the great Studio model in a '34.

I should get it in 5-6 months :)

A 34" studio...heavy ash with thin nitro. I'd probably forego the last option simply because the bass will have huge balls no matter what finish you put on it!

I went in the opposite direction, I asked for a lighter ash body and it's just punchy as all get out. You're gonna love it!

I'm considering selling my Tecamp Black JAG 900
with the tecamp gig bag (superdeal)

PM me if interested
(I can Use Paypal)
By the way, How can I put this in the classifieds adds in talkbass?
Cheers to all
The talkbass rules are you cannot sell stuff on this site unless you are a paying member.

When you are a paying member, then you can list your stuff for sale in the Classifieds section.

Often someone with a bass for sale in the Classifieds will notify people in club forums because that is often where the interest is. Also, club buddies will often speak up in the for sale ad, vouching for the seller.

The key though, is to pay for a sponsored membership, that way you can place a classified ad and then post about your classified here.

I know we all have our reasons, but I was very surprised to see you were considering letting this go. I've long admired this lined fretless. My first couple of fretless basses were all lined and this one I thought was especially appealing.
