James Demeter has been making some of the best gear in the business for years; decades, really. The new VTBP-M-800D is an amazing mix of form and function. Can't wait to really put one through its paces! We are reviewing the HBP1-800D right now, and it's an amazing head, as well.
They sounded real good in the mix today without all the frets noise. I'm keeping them on for now and dumping the rounds.
I've been running TI jazz flats on my BN5 for a couple of years. I love the tone and soft feel, but have to admit I've been thinking of going back to rounds lately. BN5 is my go to #1 bass. Enjoy the flats!
I know the feeling, I go back and fourth between both. I started on flats so I love the feeling and for reason to tone. Im not a slapper so I don't care for to much treble. With flats I can feel the lows which I love from my cabs. If you do go back I don't think you'll have them on there long.
I have to say that flats do offer a truer fundamental when playing but unfortunately, they don't offer the sound I am looking for !!

Maybe we take it for granted in today's world, but as a guy who grew up most of my life isolated from the art I truly love, I can't get enough!
Question for the group. I love everything about my BN5, accept for two things, the extra string and the gloss finish. 
So my question is, can you order direct from F-Bass or should I go through a dealer like BSD, other?
And yes, I will be selling this to pay for the custom order BN4.

Kinetic ...yes you can order directly through FBASS or one of their many qualified dealers...

Thanks Randy, just have to figure out exactly what I want first. I've been down the custom order road before and have learned to make double sure before ordering.
It really is - I don't have it's equal in my small collection, so it will be missed until the BN4 arrives. But, I have to sell it before I can even consider ordering the new one.

And I agree that your BN5 is awesome... Just has too many strings
