Question for the group: Is it possible to order replacement pickguards from Fbass for a VF series bass?
Marcel told me if I ever need a different pick guard, I can bring in my bass, they'll cut a new one and install it for a price I don't remember, but it wasn't much. I live half an hour away from the shop so that would work for me. For people not so close, I'm sure you can work out a way to get one shipped to you.
Here's an update of mngnt's record, reflecting his new BN6. Congrats!

This is my old bass. It was hard for me to sell it, but it made me feel much better about selling it knowing it was going to Gustavo.
I don’t see why not? You already have holes if you have a vf, and the guards are all same spec. Just have to take the control knobs off the guard. Talk to marcel.
So what are your thoughts on a fretted AC having had the experience of actually owning one?
I received an update on my VF6-PJ Fretless from Marcel. They're just waiting for a custom Hipshot Bent Plate string-through bridge, and fit the neck. Then off to the spray booth for the Lake Placid Blue finish.

Any idea on how much she's gonna weigh?
I don't believe I discussed the estimated weight with Marcel when I was placing my order. I'll ask when I follow up for another progress pic.
Thanks I'd be interested to know. It doesn't look like it will be light but I'm sure it won't be crazy heavy and any bit of extra weight will make it a tone monster!

It really is sweet isn't it. I can't stop lookin at it. I especially love the grain on the B string wing.
Yes it is. I’m most fascinated by the combination of options. VF, P/J, fretless! It’s going to be gorgeous in blue too.
There are things about F basses that we take for granted after a time. I played a couple my other basses this past service— Both had significant neck dive. I was playing my VF today and it just hangs perfectly as do the BN and BNF. The tones are off the chart too. There is just nothing quite like the art of George and company.
