Club Moollon

It was between 5-6mm

Ouch, that is well outside the range of acceptable playability. The question of truss rod adjustment immediately comes into play - a quick tweak might solve the issue, depending on how the neck is now. Air transit can subject a parcel to temperatures of both extremes and anything can happen.

I don’t know if you’re an experienced player with all the knowledge under the sun or someone with less know-how than that. With that in mind, and assuming you were asking for suggestions about a course of action, I’d get the bass to a reputable luthier to check that the instrument is structurally sound and able to be adjusted to more comfortable playing parameters.

That P classic in the classifieds yesterday went fast. It makes me long for my future Moollon P. It's probably the two year mark coming up that makes me think about it more lately. :nailbiting:

I've been looking at Fenders in Inca Silver and really dig the Robert Cray signature strat with a mint pickguard. I think I might prefer mint (now) over tort (what I've ordered) with Light Charcoal Frost. Still a bit in doubt though :whistle:

I know you can order an extra pickguard with your order, but is it also possible to have it swapped instead? Andi frequently mentioned in the FAQs that changing colors or specs after ordering is not possible, but a pickguard seems like a minor detail for YJ.

I would be afraid to speak for Andi as certain things have changed to their processes since the demand has increased.

Having said, that I wouldn’t think a preference of a pickguard would be an easy “change”.

My interpretation to no changes after the order would be more to do with colors, body woods, headstock colors etc.

My two cents would be to email Andi and tell him what you would prefer. Also, I would suggest if possible ordering all the pick guards of different colors that you want and having them thrown in your case.

Saves a ton on shipping after the fact.

The pickguards are reasonably priced but shipping from South Korea could be as much as the price of the guard.

What's the wait/ ordering process on these nowadays?

And cost starts at?

You can reach out to Andi to find out all details of ordering. Before you do that, google, “Moollon faq.” It’ll take you to the Moollon Facebook page. In January of this year Andi updated that Moollon FAQ with new prices and the answers to every other question you could possibly have about ordering a Moollon these days. Fast rule, it’ll take as long as it takes. Three+ years seems to be the case in general, but read the faq for more info on that.

Ok here I googled it for you. Read all 4 January 2023 announcements;

This is good information! I ordered in October 2021, so adding the 28 months that yours took - puts my delivery around January 2024. Sound reasonable?
I informed with Andi about 6 months ago and they weren't even close to starting my build. Therefore I've pushed my expected ETA to 36 months. It would be nice to have it before that, no bummer if it takes that long. Ordered May 2021.

I wouldn’t count on that. I ordered mine in February of 2018 and received it June of 2018. Maybe find the exponential formula between mine and and that other persons, then guesstimate yours. I’m guessing anything ordered 2021 or later is a 3+ years wait, generally speaking.
