Club Moollon

Hi! I just received my p-classic after a 2 1/2 year wait. The action is really high. Is that normal?

How high is it? Looking for a quantitative measurement for comparison’s sake - like the distance between the bottom of the 12th fret and the top of the 12th fret fretwire.

A Moollon bass typically has to do an overseas trip to get to us the United States and might require some minor setup work upon arrival.

^^^^ to reduce confusion, I’m asking distance between the bottom of the G string at 12th fret and the top of the 12th fret fretwire.

With a reasonably straight neck, a distance of 1/16” is considered pretty low in most circles, but too high or way too low in others. There are no hard, fast rules.

That P classic in the classifieds yesterday went fast. It makes me long for my future Moollon P. It's probably the two year mark coming up that makes me think about it more lately. :nailbiting:

I've been looking at Fenders in Inca Silver and really dig the Robert Cray signature strat with a mint pickguard. I think I might prefer mint (now) over tort (what I've ordered) with Light Charcoal Frost. Still a bit in doubt though

I know you can order an extra pickguard with your order, but is it also possible to have it swapped instead? Andi frequently mentioned in the FAQs that changing colors or specs after ordering is not possible, but a pickguard seems like a minor detail for YJ.
