Club Moollon

Does anybody have a picture of a Light Charcoal Frost bass with a mint pickguard?

While I'm patiently daydreaming about my P Classic IV in the making, I'm wondering if I should ask for an extra pickguard to be included and if so, what color. I've ordered my P in Light Charcoal Frost with the tortoise pickguard. Maybe mint would be cool too on that finish?
This is Talkbass. Of course you should!

Good things come to those who wait, indeed! This beauty was ordered in May of 2020 and finally was delivered to me at the end of March, 2023.

The best part is that it sounds and plays better than it looks! The hype is real. This bass, with an alder body and 60’s pickup spacing, sounds more like a pre-CBS Jazz bass than any 5’er I’ve ever played. Well worth the wait!

No more progress buddy, but now the weather is beginning to be lacquer friendly, so beginning the spraying is imminent. The rainy weather has been good for my recent research into buying a new audio interface for my home studio. The choices are vast. Ended up with a Universal Audio Volt 476p. Just getting acquainted with it now.

When I bought my Classic P used last year didn’t have any expectations. It was an easy decision if I didn’t like the bass could sell quickly for what I paid no risk. What I didn’t expect is that it would become my favorite bass!
The Fodera in my avatar had its strings changed every six weeks to two months due to playing and loving the sound of fresh strings. Since receiving the Moollon it has six month old strings and they still sound good.
My dream Moollon would be a Classic P in a rootbeer sparkle finish with matching headstock being aware that the matching headstock would add to the build time.
Next year seriously considering sending Andi a deposit and if it takes five years to deliver so be it well worth the wait!

Officially over the 2 year mark.
I think I’m officially just over the 1 year mark for my new order.

Good things come to those who wait. I had to wait an exhausting 4 months for mine in 2018 lol.
Ha! Your new bass pic is what put me over the edge to order my Moollon in 2018, which also took 4 months from order to delivery. I asked about adding a matching headstock, but was told it would add 6-8 weeks to my 4 month build time so I said, “forget that!!!” :roflmao:

She's a beauty.

Yep, YJ cracked the code of a '62 Jazz with a B string.

Was trying to make my Sadowsky's sound like this for years!!

Enjoy!!
