Just a thought, but I think Moollon could really kill it if they made a vintage style P/J. What does that even mean? Well to me, it would be like a 70’s Pbass where guys used to add the bridge pickup in after market. In a perfect world, it would be slightly hotter pickups so the J pickup is useable on it’s own.
I don’t see a lot of passive P/J offerings like that, and it would still adhere to the vintage Moollon aesthetic.
Love my P! And I have a jazz coming![]()
Will Mr YJ and Andi be at NAMM 2019?News scoop du jour: Just as YJ promised, on the eve of the 2-year mark after the debut of the prototypes, more 2-piece alder 1956s done in lovely 1960s colors are slowly expecting to bubble up from the depths... Albeit just two in this batch, a very charming Sea Foam Green and Fiesta Red join a Dakota Red body completed this past spring.
As before, 1-ply parchment, 1-ply black, and 3-ply tort will continue to be the pickguard options in the foreseeable future.
