Club Sadowsky!!!

I'm far from worthy of the bass.
Ummm.... correction here... were you able to afford it? (yes), do you appreciate it? (yes). You're worthy. Done. :)

Anybody that would feel otherwise about you is just being a pretentious jerk, and that's not your problem. :)

I Agree with Vic, I too feel the bass is at a much higher level than my playing skills but it does not mean I should NOT have bought it, infact Vic was one of the first guys here that encouraged me that no matter your skill level or what anyone says if you can afford it then by all means go for it. To be honest after getting it my playing has gotten way better it has inspired me to really get serious about playing. I have even gotten back with my old bass teacher....Love it so much I put another on order. So yes you are worthy of such a beauty.

Self-deprecation - it's all part of growing up and being British ;)

:D

My skill level is stupendously mediocre especially when you consider how long I've been a bassist, but what the heck, I still post videos of myself playing my Sadowskys. Sadowsky basses make me happy, being happy makes me play better, and these factors are the most important to me.

See? Good things happen when you put the music first and all the rest of this mental baggage crap last. :)

Agreed. While it's a really nice bass, it's still a bass. Worthiness is not an issue.

I may be a hack bass player, but I sound like a hack playing a Sadowsky!!! :) :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

Oh, but what a fine sounding hack you are!!! :)

Roger

I actually do attribute a lot to you for helping me get some of my chops back from when I was gigging almost full time.

First of all, my 24-5 is so amazing that I practice a lot more just so I can play it. I did a two-hour Motown review this past weekend in my den!

Also, that bass is so easy to play that it is almost cheating!

. . . Almost :)

Reference point: I've been playing an '05 Lakland Skyline DJ4 a little over 5 yrs. I've been playing passive over 20yrs (it's all I know). She went through an Aggie DB750/Berg NV610 and here's what I learned at her first rehearsal...(bare with me and my lack of audio-phile voacabulary)
Her tone as I can best describe was "authoritive and gutteral." The pre-amp is absolutely wonderful, barely touched her..a bit of a bass boost was all I needed. She cut cut through 2 guitars and drums and sat very well in the mix. All members of the band heard the audible difference. My drummer upon my arrival asked me prior to plugging in .."so what does a $3000 bass sound like?" by rehearsal's end he was very impressed! Me? well, you've all been there, I'm blown away. I'm a now a Sadowsky owner/player and I can't be happier.

ROGER...John Dimaggio (formerly of Bass Alone) sends his regards. I had him adjust the neck...she needed a little loving after making the trip from Massachusetts to San Diego, CA

Nice to OFFICIALLY be part of "The Club"! Sadowsky is everything you fine folks swore by! Now I'm swearing :D
