Club Sadowsky!!!

I changed from HC's to SC's in my ash/maple MV5, and it really woke that bass up. I picked up a Squire Deluxe 5 to have as a "keep in the car" spare. (basswood body/ebanol board) I dropped in a Sadowsky pre and a set of HC's, and a 3 year old set of flats. NOTHING could improve the sound of that bass any more. It is an absolute tone monster. No joking, it is one of the best sounding basses I have ever owned. A few of my Sadowsky brethren heard it live and were frankly, quite surprised. My point is, I really believe it depends on the particular instrument as to what pickups are the perfect fit.

Yeah... With the Alder/Morado combo, I would think the SC would be a better fit.

I hope to have a family pic of my own !!! Just need a couple more sadowsky's !!

I have a NYC ash/maple with HC's and blue SS strings, and a Metro WL4 alder/morado with SC's and Sadowsky flats.

I think I have the Sadowsky jazz tone palate covered with these 2. I find myself playing the alder/morado/SC with flats about 90% of the time. I love it!

HI

One of my gigs is a rock and roll christian church thing. The bandleader has been writing songs and Ive been doing some bass for them over the last few months. I did this track yesterday with my metro pj hybrid. Bass straight into a Demeter rack pre. We also duplicated the track on protools and added some distortion to it. So what we have is two tracks, one clean and one a bit overdriven. This is just a rough mix from yesterday but you can hear how the pj cuts and you know those guys have their vocals and guitars out front. LOL. I ever so slightly panned towards the P pickup on this song. VTC rolled back about 10%, treble flat, bass boost about 20%.
