Still in the planning process for ordering my first custom NYC Sadowsky, and I am heavily leaning toward the Vintage Shoreline Gold Finish (like the one currently in stock). In any event, I made up some MOCK-UPs to try to help me decide what pick guard I want to go with it. What do you guys like best??? I will definitely get an extra guard and possible even two, so feel free to give your top 3 choices. Keep in mind that it will have a master grade flame maple board.

I like 'em all, but I'm a big fan of the black p/g with the maple fingerboard.

A vote for white pearl. Some texture is a nice complement to the solid finish, and tort or black pearl look kind of shouty. Aged white pearl and mint are also cool.

To me, the pearloids look totally "period wrong" to me on that bass.
Which is why I vote for parchment first.

Hm. Looks like the Braz Sadowsky Select is back up for sale in the pre-owned section. I wonder what happened there?

My order would be Mint, Tort, Black, then Aged White Pearl.
I agree with Chef about the pearloids not being period correct, but considering that you'll have a flamed maple board you may not be going for a vintage/period correct look anyways.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about the Pearl stuff too...I don't want it to be anally period correct, but keeping it somewhat would be nice. I'll probably end up gong with mint and black with Tort being the third option if I decide to spend $150 on extra pick guards
