The Sadowsky preamp in my Lull has been draining the battery way faster than it should (battery will last approximately one month). This has been a problem since I had the preamp installed (I bought it from a fellow TBer, not from Sadowsky). I took it to my bass tech and he couldn't find anything wrong with the wiring. The only thing I can think of is that, because the circuit board will come unglued inside the cavity (allowing it to move around), the board is possibly touching something it shouldn't. I don't know. Has anyone else ever experienced this kind of thing?
Well, the preamp probably is not happy being in a Lull bassjust kidding!

Well here is a cover you dont hear too often.....
I was doing some home recording and threw this one together for some fun, Reap The Wild Wind by Ultravox.
This song came out around 1982 and I actually saw them during this tour. I always enjoyed synth pop stuff
and thought I would dust an old classic.
I used my Sadowsky Caramel Burst Standard 4 on this one with fresh Sadowsky Blue Label SS Strings.
Mic'ed up my Genz Benz rig, ShuttleMAX 12.0/Uber 410 cab and played all the Synths, Drum Machine and vocals. Enjoy!!!
Jason Newsted rocking a Will Lee Saodwsky. Enjoy \m/
By all means, keep 'em coming! This one is easy - the battery is being Lulled into a state of premature discharge...![]()

No lemon oil. Unboiled linseed oil twice a year. A little goes a long way. for regular cleaning just wipe w a little Sadowsky polish
In a couple of days (when I get a chance to take some photos) I will be posting Serial # M5000 for sale. It is a PJ5 with burst finish and a tort PG and comes with an ultra light case. The bass has some normal scratches on the PG but besides that it is in perfect condition. The case is slightly worn but fully functional. I just tried to weigh it on the bathroom scale but it is digital and wouldn't register anything that light. You could probably find out the exact weight from Sadowsky if it is really important to you. I have a NYC JJ5 that is 8.5lbs and I really cant tell any difference when I play them on a 4 hr show. This Bass plays great and sounds amazing. The only reason I am selling it is to save up for a NYC Sadowsky PJ5. I am a sucker for fancy tops and it is my misfortune because a NYC PJ5 probably will not play or sound any better than M5000. Would like to have $2000.00 for it shipped fully insured anywhere In the lower 48 and can email pics from my phone if someone cant wait for me to post the ad. Offers are welcome as long as they aren't ridiculous. Any questions call 618 318 9063 Thanks, Mike

I use only boiled linseed oil. Not sure what results are with raw, but I'm pretty sure RS suggests boiled.
I only recommend boiled. Raw does not harden and is used as a paint additive.
Sadowsky "Special Blend" fingerboard oil coming soon to the online store.
