Club Sadowsky!!!

I brought the Verdine (now with Sad flats!!) to the Roots on 66 reggae festival in Victorville yesterday - loads of compliments and a bunch of "what was that bass??" comments. I'll try to get a clip posted here in a little bit. The wind was blowing up to 40 MPH at the fairgrounds, there was a wee bit of dust to clean off of her today.... :roflmao:

I swear, since I put the Sadowsky flats on this thing I have been channeling the reggae legends; the grooves have been deep. This may be the perfect reggae bass.

I love the Sprucecore design. Really a clever concept. The price tag is a bit daunting however so when I saw their latest I had to wonder - did this nudge the sell into the 5-digit realm?..

Unless you consider the 2 digits after the period, we have never exceeded 5 digits! :)

So here's the clip I promised... not too many videos of the Verdine 5 in the wild, I may be the only one with reggae vids, lol... I'm really surprised how clean the audio was, the wind was cooking - 25-30mph constant with 40+ gusts. Behind the camera were tents and tent anchors hanging on for dear life! It was a blowin....

Brought my new Metro Express to the practice room today...

...this bass sounds completely awesome in a mix! DI’d it thru my EV Evolve50 system + a Warwick LWA1000/Berg HDN112 (w/gold badge)...

I’m finding the Alder/Morado to be a fantastic wood combo, and sustain “for days” all over this fretboard, too

I initially had Black SS’s on it, but changed out for a set of balanced tension (95/75/55/40) Chrome Flats that my very proficient young student bass player prefers (she’s now fully addicted to Sadowsky and Bergantino equipment...at 11 :rollno:)

L-o-v-e my NYC’s...but I can confirm that these ME’s flat out rock, too!:bassist:
