Club Sadowsky!!!

I can ask Ellis, but I'm almost 100% sure that we can't add binding to your build.

Here's the official word: at this point, we're not offering binding on any future builds or any in-process builds.

What you are seeing in our 40th teaser shots is a special feature just limited to the 40th anniversary run of instruments. More details on that run will be released in the next few weeks.

Has anyone put Nordstrand NJ5S's in their Sadowsky? Been in conversation with the shop about my Metro and what i want from it, and replacing my Duncans with these may be the logical next step. Mostly curious how it plays with the pre. Thanks!

I have the Nordstrand made Sadowsky singles in my Metro UV70 5 string. Essentially the same as the NJ5S. I like them, preferring the passive sound. They do have a nice midrange growl to them. You can make them sound more modern by activating the preamp and cranking the treble while cutting the VTC.

I’m gonna try the Nordstrand hum canceling j’s, since they’re a familiar data point and a sound I like. It’s been really unclear if what I have is the Duncan’s or Nordstrands but roger was pretty sure, based on the shells that they were Duncan’s. Either way the bass feels and plays so great, if I can make it work tonally, I will!

I'm not sure if the current Sadowsky single coils are Duncan or Nordstrand but I just put a pair in my Metro Vintage 5 and I much prefer them to the Metro HCs. The current SC's have great punchy mids and a nice snappy top end.

Pretty sure the Metro singles for the last several years are Dimarzio. The NYC's are SDs.

Are you all still following our social media slow reveal? :)

Wild guess ... out of you nowhere:

A Sadowsky version of Marcus Miller's iconic bass, weird pick guard and all, considering Roger got his start from helping to modify Marcus' main-damey studio bass.

Any all of this might be pure conjecture/fake news.
