Love that color combo, especially the Tortoise guard. I almost ordered a Satin in IBM back in Dec but went with Vintage Shoreline Gold instead.
Meanwhile, I just picked up this G&L last week. To tide me over while I wait for my new Satin. Just happens to be the same color combo. Ha.

That’s a really nice look, How do people make decisions when they’re going to order a new one? It would take me forever to make a final decision.

For me, the only NYC's I could afford were the Satin series (and I got hooked, bad). Limited options made it easier to choose, lol.. but I did tried to be creative. I haven't seen another Olive Green Verdine 5 with matte black guard, although someone at Squier must have been following my posts. :woot: ;) :roflmao: :roflmao:

My bass was made finished 11/18. These hit the shelves recently.. Mine looks lighter due to the lighting, its darker in person.

I have to keep reminding myself that no matter what I choose*, at some point I will rethink the decision. I rarely have regrets: just saying that I succumb to "grass is greener" no matter how happy I am.

*The exception for me is "bassic black". But I would NOT want an all black bass collection, so my struggle is constant. :D

(We are talking color, right? Aside from that, I generally know what I want.)

I spent some time with someone’s ice blue metallic Sadowsky and thought it was one of the most beautiful things I’d seen. Very difficult to photograph.

metro express from china seems to be in stock , the green is ...... arfff
really interested to try one someday, but i wish there was at least some rounding on the neck heel on the body.

Hey there, folks! Does anyone happen to have any shots of the back of #7504? I may be looking to try to copy the sunburst on this one. Would love to see a photo of the back or the front without the pickguard. Thanks!

The back burst is the same as the front!

I remember there was a bass that had magnetically attached fingerboards so you could switch between fretted and fretless, I think John Pattitucci had it. Guessing no one bought that either.

That system was called Novatone and appeared in the early 80's. A complete disaster that destroyed every neck that was modified by them.

Not sure if it matters to me in my current situation, but does anyone know or can someone ask if the Dunlop Dual strap locks could be optionally spec'd at no upcharge? I feel like that's kinda' the standard set forth before, and what some people might still prefer.

Buy whatever system you like and put them on!

There's no more "hand building" of a NYC Sadowsky than there is of a MIA, or probably even MIM, Fender. Probably less, and certainly less done in-house.

I'm not suggesting that what is done is of the same quality.

I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with your statement, We do a tremendous amount of hand building
Roger can chime in as need, but I believe there's a LOT more "hands on" work in an NYC Sadowsky than any of those you cited. What Roger's shop does is probably a lot more like the Fender Custom Shop, not their production lines.

Thanks, Vic! I was avoiding getting into a reply to this post!

Is interesting the difference between chinese one and warwick one....

The difference is about $2000. Please do not expect an $899 Sadowsky bass to match a $3000 Sadowsky bass.
This is a great $899 foot in the door instrument. Many people cannot afford more.

Roger
