Anyone knows where to get spare P5 Pickup Cover? Not available in European Warwick, tried to write to Roger as well, but worth try here as well. Is that in fact Nordstrand pickup? Thanks!
ok, i'll bite... what happened to the original one? never heard of someone having to replace a pickup cover before.
I had the same exact crack (same location) on my Sadowsky P5 pickup. I have no idea what caused it. I play mostly fingerstyle with a medium/average attack. It is indeed a Nordstrand pickup. I did get a replacement cover (with the Sadowsky logo) from Roger.

as much as i'd like to see a video of that, i've already played this combo, and yes, you're of course correct, and also of course, that's why i ordered it. lol
Don't know, how that helps - but anyway, I already bought it used like this. To me, it seems cover gets somehow fragile - you know how sometimes plastic gets old - and tension from screws made it crack. Does not affect anything at all, just wanna have my stuff in proper condition

I'm looking for a Made in Japan Metro J-style bass. I live in the Netherlands, Sadowsky are not so common in Europe. (I'm not interested in the current MetroExpress basses)
I have a question I hope you can help me with. On Fender J-style basses I play very often with the bridge pickup only 50% open, so I swapped my pickups for hum cancelling pickups.
Anyone know if hum-cancelling pickups were also available in the MIJ Metro basses? If so, how can I recognise those pickups on the bass?

I think most of the Japan metrolines came with the hum cancelling j pickups other than the will lee which is true single coil. Me, I prefer the single coil and have no hum issues with my Japan Will Lee at any setting.
yes, all but the WL models. the only other way to get singles in any metro (express or not) would be to have it customized post-production.
Japan Sadowsky JJs come with hum-cancelling pickups, except for Will Lee and Teppei models. The single coils are spectacular; the HCs merely awesome.
