Is anybody able to explain to me how I could tell if a fingerboard is Braz, Madagascar or morado. At first glance, Its seems to me that they look the same.
buy all three from me and I will label each one!

Ha Ha Ha, Your funny Roger. I already have bought all three from you and I know which one is which because I know what's on my basses but I can't really see a difference so I was wanting to know, How do you know if I put a piece of each in front of you.
No more funny business now Roger. Trying to make me buy more basses. Lol
Finish the one you're already making for me and then will talk.
Looks like Kevin's been busy snapping photos:

Yea! finally, I've been wanting a seafoam Sad for a long time. I was just about to call Kevin and order one. If I like the Metro enough, I will get A Metro PJ and I'll be set for a while.
I would love to go to a GTG. Like you said Its a drive. A 4 1/2 hours drive to be precise. Let me know next time. I'll try to make it.
Here's my new Baby

You learn to recognize wood by seeing a lot of it.
Morado has lighter brown stripey grain and is the silkiest in feel.

Brazilian has deep browns and often black grain lines that can look like spiderwebs.

Madacascar looks similar to Brazilian but tends to be more orangey or lighter brown in color.

Funny, I don't remember having sex with you. I must've been drunk as hell.
Any pics of yours. I hope they meet one of these days.
Very Nice Joel,
If you zoom into the neck pocket it says "see note" , we'll are going
to tell us what the note refers to?![]()
Just kidding, the note said to make the black stripe of the burst slightly wider and to include the upper horn. It looks like they got it exactly right.

natural alder! I love the look of the old stripped alder basses.
Tell us more about these two, by the way, are you getting both?: specs of the basses, solid versus chambered,...
Both? Ack - my budget wouldn't like that. Plus I have a Rob Allen 5 on order. I can only have 2 basses on order at a time - that is a rule. Well, maybe more of a guideline
Trying to decide on a body. I want to get the same great tone as my Metro PJ5 but in a lighter package. Original plan was chambered alder with morado fingerboard. Definitely 59 burst. Have been going back and forth between doing a straight vintage or a standard with black hardware. Either of these bodies would probably be best in a vintage.
Then these damn spalted maple bodies keep haunting me. If I went that way it would be a std with black hardware. No way I'd do a pickguard on a spalted top...
Hey Freak,
You'll get that email soon enough.
