I actually posted when I first got it that I wasn't loving the B-string. I suspected it was a string problem rather than a bass problem. Rob (dragonbass) hooked me up with a fresh set of Sadowsky SS Blue Label Strings and now the B is killer! Thanks again Rob!

Gotta love the Sadowsky crew!

This is EXACTLY the bass I hope to order this year. 5 string UV70 Metro, Ash, black finish, white pearl blocks and binding. How's the neck profile? I'm sure it sounds amazing!

Big +1. Everybody at the shop of course is great, but it is definitely fair to say Rob is absolutely right up at the top of the game, and I still think it's cool we have a TB'er "inside". :)

He did the final setup on my Metro PJ5 (including a couple minor changes) and also built my newest VJJ5, and both are just stoopid good. And except for your figured fingerboard, we are VJJ5 brethren right down to the look/finish, so I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. :)

Interesting Sadowsky fact of the day: Roger Sadowsky started out in the early 70s helping a master luthier by the name of Augustino LoPrinzi build and repair acoustic guitars. LoPrinzi consulted or helped design Martin, Fender, and Guild instruments. Incidentally, Rob "DragonBass's" last name is also LoPrinzi. I once asked Rob, who also built my bass, if there was any relation, but he said that he didn't know, but that it was quite possible. I just thought this was interesting.

Yeah, it's really hard to prop one of them without making it sound like "as opposed to the others", which of course is just not correct, because of Roger's ultra-stringent QC requirements and standards. And yeah, the 24 Fret 5 I had was a Lisa bass and that thing was also incredible... not to mention that Lisa is just so pleasant on the phone.

Bottom line, what a truly great shop/business on every level.

It is a JBL EON. I use it as my Synth Monitor. The bottom unit in my rack is a Roland XV5080 and I use the Roland PK5 pedals to trigger that. I do alot of fancy foot work on stage. LOL!
