Voila, a nice Sadowsky shot with the headstock and logo in clear sight. Taking a pic of my TV when my analog=dinosaur VCR was on PAUSE doesn't really show how clear the shot was. During the broadcast, in motion, it must have been as clear as day. Nice vintage-size tuners on that rascal too. Great bass face.

Roger must have been happy. Only about a bazillion people saw one of his babies on stage. Definitely not in the bottom three.

I cannot begin to express how humbled, honored, and thrilled I am that Rickey will join Will at the 11:30 time slot. I can't think of anyone more deserving for this gig than Rickey! :hyper:

Sorry to interrupt, but I can't contain my enthusiasm. I just brought home my second Sadowsky Metro today. A gently used PJ4. This to complement the UV70 that I purchased a few weeks back....all this done to replace my Sadowsky NYC that I had since 2001, but sold last year when I decided I could do everything I wanted to do with a couple vintage Fenders. I was wrong and very glad to be playing Sadowskys again. The quality of these Metros is phenomenal.

Sadowsky basses...They just make it easier for me to play and sound good.

My fraternal Sadowsky twins:

Just booked my airfare/hotel to NYC for the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (early Oct). Prices were very good.

Main reason to go: visit Sadowsky and order my 2nd NYC Sad (my 24F5 needs a friend). Leaning towards a WL but will need to try all the models to be sure, only prudent to be thorough :).

Tom, I got it to compete with your carpet! I've gotten tons of offers for that rug in the past week. What's it about bass players and rugs?

The PJ still has the protective plastic over the pickguard so it looks a a little flat in this photo. Very happy with these two, but especially the UV. I love the full-sized bodies.

I love what I've got, BUT, my dream Sadowsky bass is:

Sadowsky J fullsized body...I don't know about you, but the 7/8 bodies make me look like I'm playing a ukelele. (I'm a big guy.)
WL Electronics...with trim pots brought up top...concentric knobs OK (but not critical).
1.45" at the nut
Green-to-sunrise tint over ash woodgrain (black to green yellow-tint sunrise)
Nitro finish on body...ever so light on the neck
Ebony fingerboard (maybe mahogany neck...back wood)
Single coils with coil tap
Stereo output
4 string with drop D tuner
Matching headstock with matching tint
21 frets...any more than that is a hand job.
Less than 8 pounds (neck light, control cavity heavy)
Price (you tell me...I'm waiting)

I'm not into the fancy top woods, just the playability. This to me would be my 401K withdrawal bass...the ultimate challenge for the Sadowsky crew (or a walk in the park). I'm all ears!

After that...then you can focus on on your acoustic Ric 4005/Lakland hollow-killer. Roger, you get it...so go for it! I need it for my Jack Cassidy fix. And get that picture of Grace Slick out of your mind right now!

I'll return to my wishful thinking now. Damn....we need a Sadowsky custom shop!

I'm hoping to go down sometime this summer and check out a few axes. It'll be hard to justify asking a whole swack of questions because I'm not ordering 'til 2012, but I'd still like to go and mess about with the basses and get a feel for what I really want. As it is, I keep waffling on certain aspects.
