At this point, it is difficult for me to believe that RS would offer something that didn't completely live up to the Sadowsky name.
If it says "Sadowsky Guitars * NYC" on it, it's going to be a killer instrument. It doesn't matter if he made it out of old shipping crates and leftover parts from a '73 Zenith Chromocolor.
That said, I guess with all of the tone wood discussion that goes on, people do want to put it into a category. To the reading masses, FWIW, all amazing basses are either ash or alder. My mahogany Sadowsky is equalling amazing.
