I refused to even consider anything by Faith Hill about a year ago and severely strained relations w/my beloved drummer, and although I love no musician like I do this man, I'd do the same thing today. My issue w/her is 1- she'd be completely unknown if she weren't a picture-perfect blond, & 2- she did a cover of Take a little piece of my heart and claimed not to know Janis Joplin did it first(lying or ignorant- can't decide). :spit:

I agree with all the above. Even have some friends in the business who says she uses pitch correct software to even sound like she does.

Now having said all that and my dislike for country music in general,

Damn She is Good Looking! Don't really care what she sounds like.............:hyper:

OK maybe this "SHOULD" be every club band's set list. Songs we all mostly hate but play so we can get paid.

Well, I may be alone, but I gave it a *little* love. I think it's still fun to play. At least the way I do it.

I like playing most of those songs.. I don't care if it's redundant, boring (for me), old or what ever as long as it get the butts shaking and the drinks flowing and the money in my pockets.. I will however throw a beer bottle at anyone that requests Nirvana or Pearl Jam.. lol! They ruined music for me for a while. :p

I will play anything for enough money. There are some that cost a lot though: Amarillo by Morning, Red Red Wine, The Chicken Dance & Anything By The Eagles. Oh & anything by Jimmy Buffet.

Dude, if you wanna hear the best version of Sweet Home Alabama ever google up "The Leningrad Cowboys" version. You won't believe it. They also do covers of "Happy Together", "Stairway To Heaven" "My Delaila" & "Those Were The Days". Fantastic!

"Margaritaville" and "Hotel California" are the only two songs I've refused to play so far. I will do Margaritville if pressured but I will be dead before I ever pick a note of "Hotel California."

If I played country, I don't think I could do, "Don't Take The Girl" just because that damn song makes me cry every time I hear it.
