Covers you refuse to play now or ever again

My new favorite "love-to-hate" song is Gimme All Your Lovin'. We recently added it to our list. Why? I don't know. But folks do dance.

And it kills me, because I love ZZ Top. But could there be a more boring bass line? Even Sharp Dressed Man is (slightly) more interesting to play.

I read that ZZ Top will have a new album out soon. I wonder if I'll be able to get my band to play anything off it...

PS I love Wilson Pickett's music, so I never mind playing Mustang Sally.

As long as we can do "alternative" versions I'll play almost anything - if not I'll agree with 99% of the list so far.

I played for a short while with a *** singer who insisted on doing a really pukey version of "my way" and I was so traumatized I will probably never play that song ever again... I wanted to hide behind my rig!

I refused to even consider anything by Faith Hill about a year ago and severely strained relations w/my beloved drummer, and although I love no musician like I do this man, I'd do the same thing today. My issue w/her is 1- she'd be completely unknown if she weren't a picture-perfect blond, & 2- she did a cover of Take a little piece of my heart and claimed not to know Janis Joplin did it first(lying or ignorant- can't decide). :spit:

I don't think Janis did do it first.

My Way (???? isn't that classified as lounge music)

I'm going to show this list to my Wife tonight. I'm betting she will like 99% of the tunes on this list.

Keep em coming.

+1 to it being lounge music - it fit in the set like a square peg in a round hole - but it fit the singer's ego perfectly (didn't play with him for long...)
