This x 1000. After a friend of mine passed away, I went looking for a very specific early 80's Hondo II Les Paul because that's what he owned when he and I used to jam together in high school. I finally found one that fit the bill and paid $100 for it, which was probably about twice what it was worth but was acceptable solely for the sentimental value. It's one of the rarest things I've ever bought, as it took several years of reasonably dedicated searching through eBay and nationwide Craigslist ads to find one, but c'mon, it's a plywood Hondo. It's rare because it's a low-quality instrument and most of them weren't durable enough to survive the last 40 years.
