Hahaha. This ad is gold. Hmm. If I lived in NM, I would almost certainly apply to this. Just because it tickles my funny bone. Heh bone.

Some people will respond well to this kind of ad, others won’t respond well. And many others won’t respond at all!
Excellent idea. Very funny. He'll get a chance to make his silly rant even longer with an even more extensive collection of the "types" he hates.
Someone in the area should totally go audition for this wearing some sort of Polka band outfit, Leisure Suit, Halloween costume or something else equally outlandish that he forgot to specify. Bonus points if you're actually the bass player for one of the bands mentioned.
It's like clockwork, every few months someone from N.Y., L.A. OR Austin moves to Albuquerque and posts an add on CL listing all of their accomplishments elsewhere and act like everyone should bow to them. Within a few weeks we get treated to another CL post complaining that no one here is any good and that no one is deep enough to get their "artistic vision". It's all very entertaining.

UPDATE: We found our guy! It took posting an ad like this to find someone with the right sense of humor and whom can relate to the endless landfill of loser Bourqueno "musicians" on Craigslist.
We will go ahead and leave the ad up though, as a service to others who need a laugh. We've gotten a bunch of supportive replies from general musicians newer to Abq who have also never seen anything like the lack of talent, intellect, dependability and sense of image as the gene pool here supplies.
So here's the comprehensive short list of whom you can expect to hear from when you put an ad on Craigslist looking for musicians in Albuquerque. Using words like, "dependable", "professional", "strong ability" or "available" will get you the same ABQ-low-IQ zombies emailing you regardless. They don't know what those words mean and they can't follow directions. "Me drummer! Me want play in you band! Me awesome! HMU!"

Wow... What a total douchebag. I'll say that I have met a few of those type "musicians" who think they're all that. Total narcissists like this jerk. I suppose that it's possible that birds of a feather can do the narcissistic thing together perhaps??

Since I'm local I really want to see these guys perform and see if Matt is cracked out what he makes himself to be. I expect amazing angelic results. I'm gonna be very dissapointed if it doesn't live up to seeing the real Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Motely Crue live. I expect pyro, back drops, and the drummer on a roller coaster.
They should do like Bugs Bunny and make a left turn...
Dude, please report back and give us a review. I'd be perfectly happy to give him due props if he actually IS all that. He's set his bar near impossibly high though. Should be interesting.
And a band full of guys who are muscular, charismatic, well-dressed, with matinee-idol good looks, and are also among the greatest musicians of our time.
I'm less and less enamored with CL every day.
Selling stuff is difficult, and the stuff for sale is always garbage. It's like the Goodwill of musical equipment.
If you allow people to message you, they will try to scam you.
If you are looking for a band, people will not actually read your post, will ask you unrelated questions while ignoring the questions you ask them, and then ghost you.
The most recent act of @$$ hatery was some schmuck that said "hey, I like your influences, listen to this and let me know if you want to work together." I listed a bunch of stoner and doom metal bands. He sends me a Sound Cloud link to his rap album. #$%& you, you self promoting pr!ck. Scamming people just to get more plays on your self produced garbage?
