Crazy ex-girlfriend

My ex-girlfriend that I broke up with a year ago wants me to take care of her cat because she has to move in with her dad again and he says no cats. She was supposed to bring him by last Sunday but never showed or texted. I really like Orange Juice (yes, his name is Orange Juice) and wouldn't mind having him around, but I'm dreading that she'll use him as an excuse to come over and "visit". I was both disappointed and relieved last Sunday.

Last two times we got back together after a long breakup, she passed out in my bed drunk and jumped me when I came to bed a few hours later - drunk. I will not let that happen again.

Good luck with that.

I had another girlfriend that was great when she was sober but gonzo when she started drinking. One night we were in a area called North Beach in San Francisco hitting the bars. There is a bar there called Vesuvio that has an upstairs with a balcony that overlooks the bar. She decided that the people downstairs were yuppie punks and started throwing ice at them. Then she got into a screaming match with a barker in front of a strip club. She kept screaming at him and calling him a low rent pimp.
She ended up commiting suicide about 10-years later.

First thing reading that... I thought, that sounds like alcoholic behavior. Not to derail the thread, but addiction is no joke. Very sad.

You nailed it. I went into recovery and she killed herself. Part of that was her inablity to get sober but she also had a horrible abusive childhood. There is a lot more to her story but I have talked about her here a couple of times.
She was also my only x that my wife was friendly with. She would call our house drunk and my wife would talk to her on the phone for long stretches trying to help her out. It was really awful when she killed herself by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. She was a great friend many years later it still saddens me to talk about it.

I'm so glad I haven't done more then give my number out to crazies. The worst was the dude who took a picture of me for his contacts then sent it to his mother. I brought up a movie that was coming out in two weeks, his reply: "We can do that. Before that I can come hang out in your hometown, than you can come to my family's cook out which is ten days away!" This all happened in the first meeting, before which he sent me a text saying "You should know I'm kind of shy and really horny!!!" Such a charmer...

Bizarre. Fifty years ago I had a cat named Orange Moose. He was orange and big.

That's all I've got.
