That's both cute and funny. My girls have guitars and we have an organ in the house. My oldest really isn't interested in playing, but my youngest likes to pick up her acoustic whenever I'm playing.

I've been married for almost 15 years, been with her for about 21 years. Best woman ever, she's my one-and-only, forever. We were high school sweethearts. I know people say that that stuff never works out.....but I don't buy it. I am thankful every day that she's in my life.......
I mean, really, she puts up with my mediocre bass playing. What else could you ask for?
That's the great thing about our CWB thread. You get to be popular with the ladies and loyal to your sweet wife at the same time.
We generally only flirt here, though ya gotta watch out because occassionally FM breaks out her stun gun...
I've actually considered shaving off the beard. It's not that I don't like it.....I've had it for about 8 or 9 years, it's just that when I trim it, there's more white in it than red. And it's developing these large patches of white....like blotches....all around my jawbone and my chin. As a guy, it's not that big of a deal...honestly, you can pull off gray/white hair without a problem (or so I'm told)....but it bothers me. It reminds me that I'm not as young as I used to be. I have these white patches at my temples and mixed in my hair, but you can really see them above my ears as they've gotten bigger over the last couple of years.
My wife tells me that they're sexy.
I tell her I just look old and I don't like it.
I guess, in the end, I won't do much about it. What could I do? I suppose I could color them, but honestly.....my actual hair color, while red, is an unusual version of it.....so bottle colors don't match.....

My hair was originally blonde in my teens and early twenties, and I wore it long and straight. My beard was always redish. My hair darkened over time and then most of it fell out.
For my day job my hair went short in my late twenties and the beard went away for a few years.
When I got my last promotion, I was 46, had a crew cut and had just a hint of grey in my beard.
By the time I retired four years later at age 50, my hair was so thin that I started shaving my head and my beard was pure white. (I did have a couple of strokes in that time.)
Jackie loves my bald head and white beard and that's all that matters to me.
Lasy night a bassist buddy sat in all night with Feral making us a trio instead of a duo. We had a lot of fun with it. Mike was playing a Spector through an Orange Tiny Terror, sounded great.

Thanks PA. The two of them do that whenever I slap. It's like a game; I slap they spin, I stop they stop 
neither one will spin when I play any other style. My bandmates crack up anytime they see it.
Drummer, we're you using just the congas or did you also have a cajon with that setup? How would you say that Orange sounds compared to some other popular combos? Glad you had a good gig brother.

I always use cajon and congas with my other acoustic project, in fact I seem to use more cajon with them.
In this setting I use more conga. Last night I didn't even take a cajon with me as my primary one is at the studio and I'm not crazy about my number two.
As for the Orange, I thought that it sounded a bit like another friend's Mark Bass.

OMG, that was awesome. Watched it a few times and laughed myself silly each time.
I'd be curious to see how they react to *my* slap technique. I can picture Lucy standing up, covering her ears with her front paws, and howling as she runs away on her hind legs!
Played a nice gig last night at an art gallery. Very receptive crowd. I hope it will lead to some big party bookings.

LOL. I dunno. I've never had a need to slap before and only recently tried working it for the first time. I still give my bass and amp the majority of the credit for anything I play that sounds decent.
EDIT - Or, if you just happened to peek, credit also goes to the man behind the curtain pulling the strings and making the sound effects. I'll take credit for the flying monkeys, though. They got scared by the sounds I made, instantaneously evolved wings, and flew away to escape out of ear shot.

My slapping sounds, well..like garbage. I don't have much call for it, but can appreciate anyone that can.
I spent the majority of my morning unsuccessfully trying to replace the timing belt on my wife's car. The crankshaft pulley bolt is uber tight, and my poor little air compressor couldn't keep up. I'm going to have to take it to work ..blah.
