Have to say, the Broken Glass finish on the DWs makes them my fav...but I'm going on nothing but looks. :p

And Mike...are you all clean shaven in the Slingerland pic? :eyebrow:

The one in Brooklyn belongs to me, so that there are drums on hand mainly for jazz. A professional drummer who is a close friend had a student selling them, so I bought them. They're like this, but with only one tom rather than three. They're not bad, and it's a smaller size bass drum which is great for the space.

Drums and piano were actually my first instruments, and I can play them a little in a dire emergency.

As promised, here are a couple links. Nothing special or extravagant as seen above, but works for me! 1957 Ludwig sparkle blue kit, all original pieces (though some are not being used and are in the box in the background) and great condition for their age. The "tom" in the top left is the old snare, we just removed the chains and stood it up higher :D

Wow - I go to work all day. Finish up my painting. Come to CWB and find it pretty much taken over by guys who like to bang on wood and skin....and a facehugger.


Not that I'm complaining about banging on wood and skin....but I can think of better things to do with your hands. :D

I have another outlet for my creativity, and that is metal fabrication. I don't get to do it that often, though.

That's pretty cool. I've had so many hobbies over the years it's scary. The only metal ones though were making chain maille and jewelry. Do have pictures of any or your artwork? I'd love to see.

Unfortunately the metal fabrication that I do isn't artistic (although I do sometimes view what I do as artistic). The fabrication that I do is all work related, and have fabricated tools, parts, etc. I am, however, working on a drawing at the moment. I'm finding it difficult, though. It's been a long time since I have drawn something other than a quick doodle.
