Ouch. You can laugh at my first gig vids if it helps. I found out 12 hours before the gig that I'd be singing backup and playing tambourine. I've never even picked up a tambourine before that rehearsal. Apparently, I have a LONG way to go before I'd ever be able to do that well enough to make a living at it. LOL.

If you need a laugh just by comparing, my first gig ended with fire trucks.

Details? Okay.

I had a band in high school that was a lot of fun. My best friend was the drummer and my girlfriend was the keyboardist. Her dad was a preacher from a church that had had a pretty rich congregation. So they decided to buy a failed church, tear it down and build their new church on the site of the old one. Basically they wanted to move upscale. Right after they bought it, however, both of their richest members died and suddenly the church wasn't so wealthy.

So now they had a basically useless building that they had to keep up. So guess where we did our practices? Word got around that we didn't suck and a few people came to see us play. Next practice we got a few more. Then a few more.

This continued until one evening about seventyfive people showed up to listen to us and it turned into a big old party.

It was all good until someone decided they needed dancing room and pushed the amplifiers back against the walls. Churches often have these big thick draperies hanging against the walls. These had had decades to dry out. Amplifiers often have these incredibly hot things called 'tubes' in them. Maybe you've heard of them.

Apparently it's a bad idea to put the 'tube' things in direct contact with really old, dry curtains. They didn't burst into flames or anything like that. But they scorched so bad that we thought they might.

At least the firefighters were cool.

Darn Chuck that's a tough call. "Without" gains points for a white t-shirt though more points are available, say, if a bucket of chilly water was in the frame.

"Chick with" has some plusses like the beige dress and an Ampeg in the background but major points off for teh goggles. Lose those goggles and chick-with is a clear winner.

The Graveyard of Broken Hearts and Dreams is where I am most well known. It's located deep in the Black Forest of Betrayal, on the Isle of Shattered Promises. Perhaps you have heard of it?
They have excellent pawn shops there.

I am familiar with all those places, m'dear. And you are correct. The Isle of Shattered Promises has some most excellent pawn shops.

And that is a HUGE library. We were on one half of the first floor. That building is 4 stories tall, as well. And for such a big space, the acoustics were really really good.
