I'm against the grain again(surprise)....I think "lyrics" is a step down from "poetry"...most things that pass for lyrics are pure crap, IMO...but your poem was beautiful and well thought-out. As good poetry should be.

I understand your perspective. I tend to like lyrics that are thoughtful, paint a larger picture and require your full attention. Those are pure poetry at it's finest. I'm thinking early-Genesis (Peter Gabriel) or some of Neil Peart's excellent Rush lyrics as a few examples.

I just might do that. I have taken this bass this far, why not go all the way. Any advice on what kind of solder to use for pots?

A minor set-back Stu. Remember this is about learning. So from a glass "half-full" perspective you are getting a deeper learning experience.

Just remember that to solder correctly, the connection which you are soldering needs to be hot enough to melt the solder not just the gun. Solder won't "stick" to a surface that's too cool.

Frankly, I don't know how any solder joint hold on bass guitars 'cause they're the coolest thing out there. ;)

She could take over the planet...

Those were weapons of mass destruction.

More like weapons of mass hypnosis!
