Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

I'm busy with a pink/purple pedalboard and I didn't want to kick the MBD-2 off, so I changed the knobs. I like the results

Thanks. That's a good lead. Fortunately I have both here to A/B.
Sorry Ken,
I spoke too soon.
I forgot I took pics of when I last A/B'ed them.

These are roughly the "same"

*edit*
Additionally, my MBD-1 is an early '17, so it's pre boost-trim, so the gain range of my 1, is different than that of my 2.

Thanks! Funny, so far I've found the 2's settings for Gain and Depth needed to be higher than the 1's. But mine is later, though I didn't touch any internal stuff.

Short question regarding the MBD2's noise floor: Don't know whether I just had a bad day last night, but at practice I found the MBD2 to be quite noisy, even at lower gain settings – and very noisy with the +20 dB switch engaged.

Now, I know what people consider "acceptable noise" or even "no noise", or "too noisy", is highly subjective. So my question is rather binary and going to extremes:

Do you find your MBD2 to be practically noiseless, or is there at least some easily discernible noise for you?

Got an MBD2 the other day and wow is this thing awesome. It's just covering that kind of Geddy grind for me in front of an SLO but it just slams at every gain setting. If you could only have one, this one sure feels like it.

Never thought I’d find “It” after about 5 or 6 straight years of OD shopping. I tried a lot and love many. I ended up using a modded pork loin for a while. Then went to the Dunwich ODB. Then I got the MBD. And yeah, echoing the same experience as many here, I have rarely even considered swapping it out as my main OD tone. It’s what I’ve heard in my head for years and couldn’t find in any other pedal. After I tried it at its first and maybe second practice, got it dialed in, that was it. GAS has just about been non existent in the OD realm since.

It had been the only constant on my pedalboard for the last 1-2 years.
