Aside from a smaller form factor like the MBD2 and CD2, I like the idea of a mid-forward MBD with some germanium flavour and a hi/lo switch. What would you want the GMP2 to do?

Don't want to hijack I
But I just got the MBD2.
WOW....
I'm busy with a pink/purple pedalboard and I didn't want to kick the MBD-2 off, so I changed the knobs. I like the results

thanks! I got them from Musikding Onlineshop für MusikelektronikI dig this!! Where'd you find the knobs?
For me, pretty much all except the tone control. For those who have gone from an MBD1 to a 2, what settings have you had to change to get the same tone as before? Knobs don't seem to be 1:1.
Thanks.
Thanks. Do you remember how you had to change each to get the same tone as before? For me, pretty much all except the tone control.
I've A/B'ed the 1 & 2 a bit, and it's certainly not a 1:1 with the knobs.
But, at the end of the day, I still get my tone, so I'm happy.
Without seeing them right now, I know I had to raise both the clean and volume, along with the gain.Thanks. Do you remember how you had to change each to get the same tone as before?
Thanks. That's a good lead. Fortunately I have both here to A/B.Without seeing them right now, I know I had to raise both the clean and volume, along with the gain.
I'd have to A/B them again to show exact settings.
Sorry Ken,Thanks. That's a good lead. Fortunately I have both here to A/B.
I feel the same.If you could only have one, this one sure feels like it.
yes it doesI feel the same.
I have a number of solid dirt pedals, but the MBD just has "it"
Thanks! Funny, so far I've found the 2's settings for Gain and Depth needed to be higher than the 1's. But mine is later, though I didn't touch any internal stuff.Sorry Ken,
I spoke too soon.
I forgot I took pics of when I last A/B'ed them.

These are roughly the "same"
*edit*
Additionally, my MBD-1 is an early '17, so it's pre boost-trim, so the gain range of my 1, is different than that of my 2.
No depth was used on either, but yes,Thanks! Funny, so far I've found the 2's settings for Gain and Depth needed to be higher than the 1's. But mine is later, though I didn't touch any internal stuff.
Got an MBD2 the other day and wow is this thing awesome. It's just covering that kind of Geddy grind for me in front of an SLO but it just slams at every gain setting. If you could only have one, this one sure feels like it.
It had been the only constant on my pedalboard for the last 1-2 years.Never thought I’d find “It” after about 5 or 6 straight years of OD shopping. I tried a lot and love many. I ended up using a modded pork loin for a while. Then went to the Dunwich ODB. Then I got the MBD. And yeah, echoing the same experience as many here, I have rarely even considered swapping it out as my main OD tone. It’s what I’ve heard in my head for years and couldn’t find in any other pedal. After I tried it at its first and maybe second practice, got it dialed in, that was it. GAS has just about been non existent in the OD realm since.
