Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

New to me pedal day. I think it’s a keeper. I have been patiently waiting for one to come along in my price range. All the sudden there were about 3 in my price range . I really dig the knobs on this one though.

Congratulations! Play it like you stole it!

I love my MBD-1, but got an MBD2 to clear up some space on my my tiny board.

This pedal right here, one of my all time top 3. Hell, may even be #1. It’s one of the only “staples” left on my board.

EDIT- I have the same knobs on mine too. Best look imo. For the black one. The white one looks cool with the hillbillish black ones imo. That’s the coolest looking MBD imo. But the oxblood on black rules.

FINALLY!! Took a week to go 15 miles…..

but damn is life good atm! Haven’t had a nice feeling like this in a bit. Threw some headphones on and there’s my lovely MBD :D

I’m gushing again. Don’t care. The 2 is even better. The 1 is the big bad mofo. But the 2 is there and more in a smaller pkg. That’s gonna help me get my QC board to where I want I think. I know I can capture the MBD, but it’s just better on there making me feel warm and fuzzy in all it’s fatness and yum. Thanks @father of fires !!! I’ll be jammin all morning tomorrow with some coffee in hand with some luck on my side. Damnation pedals make me wanna fu€¥*€# play!!! :hyper:

side note- LOVIN THIS 20bd BOOST BRO!

Here’s where I’m at atm. Haven’t had much time with it through a good rig yet. Need to get to a spot! Haha

Still extremely prelim. I gotta DC4 on the way to run off the DC7. Gonna try and see what I can make happen…..

Do you think the Quad Cortex will eventually kick everything else off your board?

WOW. That’s really all I got. I used this last night at rehearsal at gig volume. WOW. This is my new always on favorite.

I have an MBD-1 and an MBD-2 that I got to save space. No matter what settings I use on the 2, I can’t seem to duplicate some of the sounds I had with the 1. The one sounds bigger and bassier/brighter and a bit cleaner. The 2 is higher gain and less of that “big” quality. Maybe my lack of twiddling skills, anybody have any ideas on my experience? I understand they are supposed to sound exactly the same.

Here's a post I made when I got the 2 for the same reason. I found unity with these settings. Try extrapolating from there.

I had an alarm go off on my calendar reminding me to spend money with Damnation Audio cause prices go up in August. I'm not sure there's anything available that I'm ready to jump on (though I have my eye on the new project and I missed the ugly twin :( ) but thought I should share the reminder with this gang...

more than likely, no. It’s just how I am. I mean, maybe over time, I may end up with more off the board due to the capture feature on the QC. But there are certain pedals I just like having as standalones. Like my EQ, or possibly some kind of fuzz, rat and OD. I actually do like a lot of modeler dirt examples. But I still prefer the analogue versions to the models. But again, if I can get that capture down really good, it may kick a lot off. Time will tell. Plus the QC still needs to add a lot of effects. Maybe not a lot. But more. I’m still going to try and get either (or both of I can but I’m not holding my breathe) the H9 and the stomp on there with it. It’ll be a tad redundant for a bit till I figure how I want everything. So yeah, we’ll see. But I don’t think it’s going to knock ALL other pedals off….

I kinda had some of the same thoughts when I initially plugged the 2 in. But yeah, after some knob twiddling, I got what I think is very close if not pretty dead on. But then, I still need to play it through a big rig with a band. But I did have to mess with it for a bit.

I found the boost really opens up some other doors for different gain levels of dirt sounds. I really like that about it. Plus it’s hella small! Main reason I bought it. But so far, I’m a happy customer. Gives me the 1 in a much smaller pkg with even more tonal dirty range :D

I can’t believe it. I ordered my MBD2 from someone who lives less than 15 miles from me. It’s taken almost a week to get here. Supposed to be here tomorrow. I just can’t get over it…..

Not surprised. As a mail carrier, there's a whole loop of an item getting picked up, then getting picked up by another driver at the office the carrier that picked it up works from, then taken to a HUGE sorting facility, then going to, possibly, in larger cities mainly, another sorting facility, then from there to the typical office that everyone knows about... all this while being only one of thousands of packages being sorted in these larger sorting facilities
