So on the subject of pedal stacking. I was in a band for about 7 years where I was mainly using amp distortion in the later years when I finalized my rig. The band split up and I found myself playing a different kind of music where my old setup wasn’t producing what I wanted. So I gave in and started shopping for pedals after what was in my current inventory wasn’t working either. I broke down and bought the “industry standard” and snagged a BDDI. This after using a plug in i had of that preamp for demos in the new band. Was pleasantly surprised but it still wasn’t getting what I wanted. Back to the shopping. Came across the MBD again and after some research landed on wanting the MBD2. Found one and really dug it. But again still wasn’t doing all the things. After going down the rabbit hole I figured why not stack as I see tons of people doing that and maybe one pedal isn’t the answer. So after countless trials and building this board the MBD into the Sansamp is the winner. It does all the things I want. It cuts thru and supports the mix with the new band. The other 2 boxes will be getting removed after I find a new smaller board now that Im done turning knobs. So long story short would a Sansamp last on the demo board fot the bill? So many bassist going away from amps but I HATE digital rigs. I’m still very analog and the “fly rig” with the MBD into Sansamp might be appealing for the bassist going amp less and still want a good signal for FOH.
