Nice. Yeah not all of them have that. I just have one with a bias.

To my ears, down is a little scooped, up seems added low mids. Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah it's weird. I like to think I have a pretty good ear for eq, but I can't tell exactly what the difference is. I think of up as being fat and down as having more bite.

I currently have it before a Dunwich Wizard Fuzz - so going for a tubey slight dirty "clean" tone.
Volume and Clean both between 1-2:00 (both are always equivalent)
Tone dimed (my bass is a Gibson EB14 and it always seems super dark sounding to me, so the tone this way seems to compensate for my ears)
Gain 11:00
Depth 9-10:00
EQ Shift Up (def shakes the room!)
Internal Gain almost all the way up

I need to mess with the internal gain on mine. Certainly did the trick on the V4B prototype- surprised I forgot about the trimpot in the MBD-1.. does anyone know which trim is the gain (left or right?)

Just checked a picture - it's on the left and on the bottom left said, it says "Boost" next to it.

On the right, the Bias trim has "Bias" above it on the circuit board

Stacked the MBD-1 with the Han-Taun and Bloop. In front of the MBD-1 it has a surprising amount of lows. Stacked after, with the gain up, it sounds a lot like the distortion of Chevelle. I instinctively started to play Forfeit and it sounded like I'm playing both parts! I'm really looking forward to hearing it in a band context tomorrow.

I honestly prefer the 301. That's what I used in the prototype.

Did you do the bass modded version?
